Happy with some aspects, although we were disappointed with others. The disappointments were: Check-in handling, rental amenities accuracy, remedy of broken glass situation. Some details noted, plus questioned in my phone call during the week preceding were inaccurate, such as the included beach chairs and umbrella and bed sheets. Each property should have a checklist showing what is included: beach badges, chairs, toilet paper, sheets, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. The realtor's answer to this was that we should bring these items, since what is provided varies for different rentals. As travelers know, each additional item to be packed requires more time and more space. About check-in, we walked by with an unhappy baby in the stroller 40 minutes early, but were told that we could not checkin early. We came back two minutes before the time, to hear the (not friendly) woman telling another renter, then me, that we should go slowly to the rental so as not to try to enter before the exact time. The third disappointment was realtor's response to broken glass on the deck. Two family members got glass in feet before we realized the extent of the problem. When I called the realty office, the woman proceeded to tell me about her experience with glass in her foot, including the shot to anesthsize. The cleaning crew came by late that day, right at the start of a thuderstorm, with their answer of two small mats delivered the next morning. TWO DAYS LATER they sent another crew with a shop vac, which finally fixed the situation. The experience with Jersey Cape Realty for Cape May was like a "mass production," as opposed to the individual handling I have found in other states and in Europe. I just believe that for the price of a weekly rental, better realtor service could be provided.
We are very sorry to hear you were unhappy with some aspects of your rental experience. We understand you asked to check-in early and unfortunately that is extremely difficult to accommodate in peak season, as cleaners, owners and service providers utilize every moment of the very short window between tenants in preparing the properties. We try our very best to make sure all properties have updated, and accurate amenities listed. We are always happy to reach out to the owner if there are any specific questions you may have. We took the broken glass incident very seriously and felt we were compassionate and sympathetic to the situation. We were concerned that everyone was ok and so recommended the nearby urgent care if necessary. We tried to remedy the situation as quickly as possible; however, we are at the mercy of the cleaner/property manager. Unfortunately, they did not have the right tools, which was why they covered the area for the time being. We worked with them to ensure a handyman go over as quickly as possible with a shop vac. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay at the home and that you will visit again. We are happy to speak with you should you have any other questions or concerns.

We had an amazing experience with Jersey Cape reality. The staff is very professional,kind,considerate and very knowledgeable about the experience that they provide in selling your home and or purchasing a home. We were sellers and I would highly recommend Jersey Cape Reality to everyone as our realtor Kelley Neidoba was extremely professional,very helpful and made everything go extremely well as we had been at our home for 30 yrs. We had guidance and support through the entire process and extreme thoughtfulness through out the sale of our home.There were some bumps in the road however nothing to do with Jersey Cape Reality. We purchased our Cape May property through Jersey Cape Realty, 5 years ago. It was a complicated transaction, and JCR handled it perfectly. Absolutely amazing service from agent Tom Shagren, and broker/owner Dee Lanzalotti. We rent the house out during the summer months, exclusively through JCR, and their service has been excellent! They have filled our rental weeks every year, and solved a number of small problems for us (we don't live in the area). The rental team is just terrific, friendly, helpful, extremely knowledgeable. I've recommended JCR to several friends, and that's a strong indication of my confidence in the entire organization. Great agents, great management, a five-star company all around!

Rented a house through Jersey Cape. After checking in home called for “Two adult bikes.” No bikes at home, was told to rent them and pay for them myself. No gas in grill. Pushed to have me pay additional $150 cleaning bill. Tried to keep $500 security deposit. Homeowner left private stuff all over home including dirty underwear. Jersey cape Realitor would not take my calls. Did not honor signed lease.
It is always disheartening when a dispute arises. Jersey Cape Realty worked diligently to resolve any issues reported and to find a fair resolution for all involved.

Do yourself a favor, use AirBNB because Jersey Cape Realty provides no advantage or service over an out of state tech company (in fact, I think they provide less). I rented a place through Jersey Cape Realty with my family over the July 4th Holiday. We go to Cape May twice per year and my family has been doing this for nearly 30 years. After using their website and speaking with Agents, we rented a home located at 903 Stockton Ave. The home was big and we were told it would accommodate our large family (5 adults, 6 children). Once we were in the place we realized that is might night be suitable for children (owners left tons of their personal pictures, items, and overall clutter around the house). Because of this, we paid special care to the property however the owners still responded with a list of erroneous claims (e.g. sand on rug in entry way--- we vacuumed. . . but it's the beach!). Without getting into specifics, our family has NEVER had a single complaint after (estimated) 60 rentals in Cape May. It is the same process every vacation, wake up/ clean/ leave. However this time, the claims were ridiculous and when we received a letter stating some of the deposit was being witheld, the notice was void of any factual references or backup information. The Agents simply stepped out of the situation, offering no support or assistance in the manner. We requested more information and stated facts to discredit the claims, but instead we received another "cut and paste" from the owner (via Jersey Cape Realty)- which still was missing pictures and receipts (some pictures were supplied but they were inadequate). The bottom line is when "the stuff hits the fan", Jersey Cape Realty ran away from the situation instead of injecting logic. If you are hoping for a personalized service and guidance, look no further (into this firm)- you'd be better served elsewhere. COMPLETE BUMMER ON OUR VACATION MEMORIES.

Our team prides ourselves on getting back to you (the tenant) within a timely manner, in a cordial fashion, and feel we were are as proactive as a third party can be when it comes to issues/disputes. When handling issues, especially financial ones, we try to resolve them in the fairest, smoothest and most beneficial way for both tenant and owner. It is our job to relay what the owner says to the tenant so that there is no confusion. Photo documentation was taken by the cleaning service, which were taken immediately after your family left the house. We did provide you with photos taken of damaged property as soon as we received them. That being said, we're saddened by the fact that your Cape May vacation has been clouded by these events. Cape May is such a special place to visit in the summertime and it is unfortunate that we will not be the ones to assist you with your future rental.
