I found an 1865 “love dime” among a loose change collection that belonged to my father. We learned that love coins were a popular gift that were given to a beloved during the 19th century. The coin was engraved on the tails side with the initials of the beloved. The coin in my fathers collection contained initials that matched those of my son’s fiancé. For the wedding, I wanted the dime to be cleaned up and set into a bezel and made into a necklace for my new daughter-in-law. Roberto helped me get the coin polished, the engraving made more crisp, selected a lovely bezel with a rope effect and found a necklace that offsets the entire piece beautifully. My dad passed away before my son met his fiancé, but is as if he left this coin in his collection especially for her. I would trust Roberto and J & S Exchange for any other special jewelry work I needed done. Awesome!

On a hunch I decided to stop by J & S Gold and Diamond Exchange, in Olympia Fields, to see if they had an Ipad for sale. Specifically I was looking for an ipad 2...which they had! I mad a deal with my daughter that if she would forgo a birthday party this year I would get her an ipad. As many parents know out there, kids birthday parties can be very expensive. Well, not only was I able to hold up my part of the bargain...I got such a good deal at J&S that I ended up spending LESS than her what I spent on her party last year!! Thank you J&S!!
