    A snails pace with attitude! After receiving weekly adverts from the ILWU credit Union I decided to take out another loan.. Knowing full well that the credit Union has really changed for the worst over the past few years! Got preapproved the week before and credit report ran. Decided on the vehicle, send over the purchase order, with an additional email, for simple processing. After I waited 5 hours, and while dealership prepped and arranged pick up for my new vehicle. I contacted the credit Union for a status update, and they hadn't even looked at my purchase order or email.. they told me that approval would be at least 4 days later. The 1st go to for these employees is that you expect your loan to jump ahead of others, not true at all.. just want to receive the expected and approved loan in a timely manner.. Have had previous loans approved and check issued within 2 hours!! Employees here have an excuse for everything.. Working on Thursday's loans, on Friday afternoon! 48 hour timeframe, overworked, busy, inadequate staffing. Hrant, Vanessa and Colleen seem to echo each other! If these concerns are in fact real? They should be directed to ILWUCU Management.. not to the Member! God forbid, any of these employees ever had to work a lash.. ILWU credit Union employees seem to act like the money comes directly out of their own pockets, they forget that they exist because of the hard work of the rank and file Longshore ILWU members, that they allege to support?... Consider simple dealing financing, instead of jumping through all of these hoops, dealing with bad CU attitudes/excuses and taking up to 5 days for processing? Dealerships often offer competitive or even lower rates than current ILWU CU rates.. Smiles, and you also get to drive the vehicle home within hours, not days! Years ago I would highly recommend the credit Union, I can no longer support and refer to them!

    POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE Spoke this morning with customer service person about depositing a cashier check, she informed that I can make it available almost half of it, and the rest in two days, she mentioned that she will put a note on my account and to use her name in case there is a problem. This afternoon a the window , the clerk told me that this money will be available in 5 days, and I said to check the note placed in my account and what I was told this morning. She said that it is wrong, fortunately a manager was there and let me know that I can have some available today, and said OK? Told her it is not OK, they need to honor what I was told this morning and gave me her name to make sure it is done the way we agreed. At the end I think manager gave the ok to this clerk, which is where the complaint comes, she told me that she is making sure that this will NEVER happen again, and she will put a note on my account to stop any future transactions like this... Not sure why she reacted this way, using a incriminating tone and attitude, I think this credit union bank needs to emphasize the importance of CUSTOMER SERVICE, and they have a job because of us. Not going to mention names, because as a member since 1991, never had a problem, but if you want to lose customers, then keep this clerk and ignore this review

    They should say they're closed when they all go to lunch. They're supposed to be serving us but I just waited 32 minutes and nobody answered the call. They also close @ 5:00 and that is the scheduled time day side Longshore gets off work. So if you want to handle business, you have to do it by Thursday or on your own lunch time which is B.S. Are they here to serve us or vice versa?

    On Dec. 6, 2016 at about6:05 pm, on Tuesday evening. I have been a member back in 1995, when I was working two jobs at once. Now back in 1995 we had a son, and 1996 another son, but he has Passway. So then a daughter in 1999, then more baby's in 2002, and 2003.... I have t9 out this there for a reason, and finally, I got in 2004, so then by the almost the end of the year, I ask for a load and the very next day you guy's turn me down flat, but that how it goes.. So everything was going good , my sweetheart ask me to marry her, then she started too cry, and I did said yes I will...Then about a week later she and me and the girls went to one of her family husband, then me and my love if my life was with her all the way too her cousins home so we all was very sorry about her all day and night But the next morning Aug. 25, 2013 Sunday at 5:30 in the early morning but she looks good but I was thinking about my wife..

    Worse bank ever! DO NOT BANK HERE. My husband continues to have issues with his Checks clearing. They’re policy and customer service is very inconsistent. Looking for a new bank.

    They ruined my LIFE.If u can get a loan from another credit union do it... THEY dropped the ball so many times on so many levels. MY MISTAKE IS LETTING IT GO AND BITING THE BULLET .THEY DON'T HONOR WRITTEN PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS and LACK COMMUNICATION SKILLS. I HAD A CHECKING ACCOUNT THAT WAS CLOSED... WHY BECAUSE THEY OVERDRAFTED MY CHECKING ACCOUNT $900.TO PAY MY SIGNATURE LOAN. (Which was charged off.) Neither should have taken place. WHY? BECAUSE We had a WRITTEN PAYMENT arrangement for the signature loan AND my NEW CAR LOAN.I ALSO submitted a change of address. I WASn't supposed to be PAYING THESE LOANS WHile ON LEAVE as per our WRITTEN agreement. I complained I haven't received a statement since i moved.I was told not to worry. So I'M NOT worried about my payments. Or my bank statements BECAUSE I MADE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS FOR MY loans and notified them on my NEW address. I CAME BACK TO WORK AND REALIZED when i saw MY 1ST CHECK THAT THEY DIDN'T take enough to pay my loans. At the time this is my first CHECK so I'M PAYING MONEY THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SPLIT BETWEEN THE TWO loans but ALL of my money was being applied to my car loan.. I call and find out THEY CLOSED MY CHECKING ACCOUNT AND CHARGED OFF MY SIGNATURE LOAN. SMH I WAS upset. But I bit the bullet and PAID BACK MOST OF THE CHARGED OFF LOAN.(which is still ahead of time being paid off) NOW I FIND OUT THE CHECKING ACCOUNT HAS BEEN IN LIMBO FOR 3 YEARS. I HAD NO KNOWLEDGE NO STATEMENT NOTHING NOTING IT'S EXISTENCE IT WAS NEGATIVE OVER $900. We're allowed an overdraft but they did multiple overdrafts. I got NO COLLECTION LETTERS NOTHING... I FOUND OUT THRU ANOTHER BANK THAT ILWU HAD ME LISTED IN CHECK SYSTEMS FOR THIS CHECKING ACCOUNT THAT should NEVER have BEEN touched in the first place per our PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS. So WHEN I ASKED THEM ABOUT IT THEY ADMITTED THEY DROPPED THE BALL. BUT UNFORTUNATELY I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKE because once it's been charged off they can't take it back NOW THE management is saying there's nothing they can DO. If I NEED to GET INFORMATION OR a copy of THEIR records i have to pay $45. Per hour for THEM to locate the records on my behalf.. AND even after I PAY IT OFF IT'S GOING TO BE in check systems WHICH IS DIFFERENT FROM THE CREDIT BUREAUS because ONLY THE BANKS CAN SEE it FOR A FEW YEARS.. SMH I've dealt with them ONLY BECAUSE I wanted to support the ILWU. I'VE GIVEN THEM A PASS ON ALOT OF situations for so many years. THE LACK IN EXPERIENCE MAKES THIS REGRETTABLE and I'm paying for it. If u EVER make payment arrangements WHICH I DID FOR MATERNITY LEAVE. Always get it in writing or as an email and save it. Luckily I have it in writing..I'm currently filing a complaint with check systems AND I PROMISE A LAWSUIT. I FEEL this is SEX discrimination. BECAUSE I'm a WOMAN who had a baby and I know 2 OTHER members with similar experiences 1 similarity is MATERNITY LEAVE. I'M GOING TO DO WHATEVER I CAN TO MAKE SURE NO ONE ELSE HAS TO SUFFER. I CAN BUT I won't go iNTO ALL OF THE INSTANCES OF THEM DROPPING THE BALL,THIS IS just The STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMEL'S BACK AND I THANK God I WAS ABLE TO FIND THE DOCUMENTS TO PROVE IT. IF I COULD GIVE THEM NO STARS I WOULD. If YOU or if you KNOW.. OTHER women WHO went on MATERNITY LEAVE ONLY to come BACK to issues like this and wouldn't mind joining me in a class action lawsuit please notify ME.
