I have banked with Icon and now Horizon Credit Union for seven years. I have had multiple vehicle loans and a heloc through them. I have received amazing treatment and have nothing but positive comments about the whitewater branch in particular. Amie Ramos has been great to work with and has made banking at her branch at whitewater fantastic. I’ve always been treated kindly and with respect by her and the rest of the staff. Horizon is horrible, Icon actually cared about its members. My fiance and I wanted to put her car under my name for a better interest rate. They told me it would go from her 24pct to 3.4pct put under my name, they then denied to even let me refinance it because "she would be driving it more then I would be". Thats the insurance companies problem, not theirs. I'll definitely be leaving this credit union after my baby boy arrives.

This bank used to be great when it was icon credit union . Since the merger customer service has been unsatisfactory as well as 20 minute to 40 min wait times on the phone to speak to someone. Please take your hard earned money to another credit union . As you can see by the many recent low reviews this isn't an isolated incident. Many former employees have also left since the merger including branch managers. Horizon if you read this there is a reason your a 2.5 star and icon was 4.6 stars.

We were using ICON for years and since they have switched I have had nothing but trouble. I call to make sure I have everything ready for the transition and they tell me yes auto pay stays the same do nothing. Except for auto loans I found out after my payment didn't get taken out that it had to be set up it didn't automatically transfer. Now I have a late payment on my credit report. This has happened on 3 occasions even though I was reaching out to make sure this would go well. They just told me sorry take it up with the credit reporting agencies and dispute it. Mean while my excellent credit for the past 25 years is now dropped 30 points due to this. We will be closing our accounts and paying off our loans. This was a very terrible experience throughout this entire process. Nothing smooth about it.

This is the third change of management since I opened my account with this branch. The most recent change to Horizon was not done smoothly. Getting an email with the subject line “A New Look is On the Horizon” does not adequately prepare or alert members that their ENTIRE account will be changed by an unknown date. Unbelievable. A text message, an alert on the mobile app, a phone call, etc all should have been the communication methods utilized for such an important change. I can’t even access my banking information and your phone lines have not been working all morning. I expect you to lose not only me, but many other members who feel that their bank has so grossly mishandled their financial matters. I will be switching banks this week. This is unforgivable.

Used to be a good company when it was icon. Absolutely atrocious now that horizon merged. No regard for their members. Horizon has absolutely no idea how to operate with customer interactions. Terrible company. Customer service is nigh extinct now. If your local, iccu is a far far better option. They have no regard for their customers service at horizon nowadays. Impossible to get anything taken care of. They are attentive when your handing money over but completely non existent when you need assistance. Embarrassing excuse for a "credit union". Nothing but problems with horizon. Icon was exceptionally better. Disappointing. All you have to do is look at their rating on google. Do not go here if you seek financial peace of mind. They cause nothing but issues at every corner here. As if it's their sole purpose to make things difficult for you.

If you'll ever need a wire transfer do not use this bank, they are incapable. Also don't bother trying to call, you won't be able to get ahold of your local branch and the process to get through the automated prompts is time consuming and difficult to navigate. I will be opening and account elsewhere. At least the staff are very friendly and helpful in person, only reason I didn't give it 1 star.

This is the WORST CREDIT UNION EVER. Since the switch from Icon, it has been a joke. I have funds that my college deposited to my account on 12/16/2020. It was confirmed by one of your rude employees on 12/17/2020, but he stated it would not be available in my account until around 9am 12/18/2020 because the "funds needed to be verified". When I had deposits ready and confirmed by Icon, they were deposited to my account within 15 minutes. It is a wire transfer from a college, the funds are already verified. So now my bills are going to lapse, which is what that money was for, because you guys becided to wait on holding my money a little longer. I'll be glad when I can go to another institution and close everything with you guys.

The merger has been a complete failure on many levels. Non responsive app, no local branch number just an '800' number to call which usually has 20-40 calls ahead. Its been chaos and as a member for the last 15 years, I'm leaving as is my other family members.
