Bill's team is amazing, I was very impressed with the level of professionalism and knowledge they provided me. I was pre-approved before with another lender and they pulled me credit and said they could not help me. I called Bill’s team and they reviewed my credit explained what I need to do to improve my score and in 60 days I was GOOD TO GO! They explained to me my rate, payments and what my closing cost would be. As a first-time home buyer, I felt very informed and comfortable. Not sure if the other reviews are talking about the same company because my experience was exceptional. They also call me every few weeks to see how my home search is going which is a plus. Makes me feel like I am not forgotten, can’t wait to find my house so I can start the whole process. Thank you Bill!!!

My home loan is through Homebridge. I called on 4/20/20 to ask about options for forbearance. I have a small travel business that has been heavily impacted by the coronavirus and needed to explore options. I was told over the phone that I could delay 3 month's payments and on the fourth month would be required to pay the total amount of mortgage payments for 4 months. I was outraged by the idea that if a customer could not pay one month then they surely could not pay 4. I told the rep that I absolutely did not want to go on forbearance under these terms. On 5/3/20, I received a call from Homebridge asking if I would like to get on a forbearance plan. I again declined citing the same reasons as the 4/20/20 call. Sometime around May 4th or 5th I was put on forbearance anyways without my knowledge or approval. To my understanding, I was not even eligible because I was current with my mortgage payments. During the months of April-May 2020, I proceed to make 5 advance payments, bringing my account paid through Aug 2020. I did this after receiving grant money knowing that it could be the last money I had for some time. I proceeded to make on time or early payments through early October. I called again on Oct 13th to officially request forbearance since I was out of money for good. I was told to intentionally miss my 11/1/20 payment to become eligible and did just that. I called again on 11/9/20 and officially requested forbearance and was told that I had been placed on the program. I was told not to worry about notices or phone calls, that I was definitely on forbearance. This never happened. I have had multiple notices on my front door trying to foreclose on my house and have spent months trying to get Homebridge to correct the mistakes. I have had over 100 point drops in negative credit reporting due to the errors and still I have not had resolution. I call 2-3 times each week, 2 hours per call, to try to get someone to help. I requested all call records multiple times. The utter negligence is disgraceful. There is no reason for these repeated mistakes made by nearly a dozen employees. Do not let these people have any control over your family home.

Just recently closed on a refinance with HomeBridge after purchasing my first home with them 2 years ago. Bill and his team were awesome to work with now and the first time we used them. We saved so much money on this refinance that I can’t begin to thank them enough. If you’re looking for a mortgage lender call HomeBridge they’re honest and reliable and will always be there for you every step of the way

I always recommend Homebridge to all my clients needing mortgages. I also used them for my own loan. Bill Croteau and his team work hard and keep you updated through the entire process until the job is done, making the mortgage process as smooth as possible. I have nothing but great things to say about them and will continue to recommend them in the future!

Horrible experience as a first time home buyer using Homebridge. Purchased a Co-Op in NJ and unfortunately Homebridge was only one of two lenders accepted by the complex so I was stuck. I would not trust them they will give you a rate quote much lower to get you in the door - your actual rate when the loan is underwritten will be much higher. The start of the process was great but once it comes time to get into your loan the fees and lack of transparency are insane. $1300 loan application flat fee?? Come on now - that's before you even reach the lawyer fees. Come closing the law firm Homebridge had representing them did not allow my title company to be there and said they would send a closing agent - they never did and my closing lasted an hour and a half (unheard of) - best is they were threatening for more lawyer fees if the closing lasted longer than 2 hours. ALL I CAN SAY IS STAY AWAY!!!! Even both real estate agents, my lawyer, the sellers lawyer, and the Co-Op lawyer were amazed by how horrible the closing and whole process had been handled. Never even was offered a refund on the $500 fee I had to pay to their lawyer that messed up the whole closing.

Worst financial Company I have ever delt with. During this pandemic after contacting them about forbearance or other financial options. I get a letter from then not only with a late fee! Another letter stating to contact HUD to avoid foreclosure! How heartless this company is! This time is so stressful. I unfortunately live in NY which had been affected tremendously by this virus. Americans incudling myself are affected by covid 19 and instead of contacting me asking about my payment or giving me options they seem to be completely oblivious to what's happening in the world. You people are wrong. They are posting all over the site they are here to "help" seems very contradicting.

If you have an option, don't get your mortgage through HomeBridge Financial. They're basically debt collectors who also work with mortgages. They were our original mortgage company and everything was mostly fine. Then a month or two into it, they sold the mortgage to a place called CENLAR. They were great. A month or so ago, HomeBridge bought back our mortgage. This is when the problems began. Though the bill came from CENLAR with a posted due date of the standard 30-or-so days out, we were told there would be no late fee within 90 days because the bill had to make it's way back to HomeBridge rather than to CENLAR. We have had to speak with several representatives from HomeBridge, all of which were rude, because starting on the posted due date my boyfriend and I started to receive e-mails and calls from the collections portion of their company. They were harassing us to make a payment by phone, despite an arrangement that had been set up, given the circumstance, to have the bill received by them within 10 days of the posted late fee. The hold times are also ridiculous. Each time we have had to call to re-explain the situation we have had to wait over 40 minutes. This place is awful.

I’ve recommended Bill Croteau numerous times for many of my clients and he’s always been super knowledgeable for first time home buyers as well as experienced buyers. One of my clients bought a house and used Bill almost 4 years ago and her sister is about to buy a home and wouldn’t even consider using anyone but Bill!

They are the worst company EVER! They could not get the deal done in time for us to keep the original closing date. They would never commit to anything. They blamed some girl Kellie, who they said got the documents later in the day so she could not get it done on time. We were warned about dealing with a mortgage company from North Jersey. Guess we should have taken that advice. I would never suggest them to anyone. Kevin & Michael were a complete let down.

Unfortunately my mortgage is through this company. I purchased my home in November of 2014. I have made every mortgage payment on time. Built into my mortgage payment is my taxes and home owners insurance. It is now February 2016 and this company hasn't paid my property taxes since I moved in in 2014... Township is pushing for tax sale and I've been fight with this mortgage company to release My MONEY to the town to pay the taxes and late fees.
