Highland home loans made the process easy and they never shy away from answering any type of questions. Being a new home buyer they made me so comfortable that I never have to stress out on anything with respect to loan. Matt is the best, available anytime to answer your questions and goes extra mile to ensure we understand each and every detail. Also my loan processor Crickett is an amazing lady who supported us all the way. I can go on and on, I can only say good things about these guys. I would definitely recommend this team for any potential home buyers.

Highland HomeLoans was very helpful and walked us through our loan step-by-step. They answered every question we asked them and even helped resolve outside issues after we closed on our new home. I would recommend highland for any loans they may need for a new home.

I went with Highland Homes based on the incentives that were given with buying the home. When I got my rate, it was significantly higher than competitors. In the end, Matt figured out how to match that percentage, yet it involved me buying a point lower (which seems to really not match, now looking back). When I got my first couple cost to close sheets, they were incorrect and I kept having to ask for new ones. When I would speak to them, they wouldn't have my file up, so it was always "I'll check and get back with you." When it came time to close, my cash to close was still incorrect. Two nights before closing, I got an e-mail from the loan processor stating that we were ahead of schedule and set to close on ___ date. The only issue was that was a week off. We were suppose to close the next day. When I found this information out, it took forever to hear from my loan officer. The processor and I were frantically working to try and find a solution. He kept saying "This is nothing you did", which irritated me because I knew this wasn't an error on my end. I had been asking for the final cost to close for about a week at that point. It ended up being a computer error in their system and nobody communicated the date with the loan processor. There was no sense of urgency or need to fix it on Matt's end. When I called and asked to go over numbers to resolve another issue, Matt didn't even have the numbers in front of him. I didn't understand the point in having a call to go over numbers if it wasn't in front of him. Once that all settled down, I was still unsure of the cash to close because there had been so many errors, I called Matt before close and he suggested to conference call him in at closing and he'll go over it. Five minutes later in closing, I called him, no answer, left a voicemail and then we called on another line, no answer. Never heard from him until after closing, where he claimed his phone never rang and he didn't get the voicemail. Overall, this experience was quite awful. I felt like I couldn't trust them, the communication was significantly lacking, continuous errors in documents and no accountability or assurance. I would not recommend them.
Thank you for your feedback Heidi. I am sorry for your experience. Clearly we did not live up to the standard of service we strive to deliver in your case. We will learn from it and get better.

Both the Loan Officer Troy and his assistant were professional and responsive. They made the purchase of our home, along with Lula and the sales team at Highland great!!
