Hawks Crest Townhomes by Meritage Homes Merrydale Way, Winter Park

This is going to be a very nice community. It’s still under construction. But from what I know, it’s going to be a gated community. Townhouses are in the 300s, single family houses from 300s to 1 mil. Many lots will be released in 2020. Based on the conversation with the sales team, the community will have a dock leading to Lake Howell. There will be many pond view houses. You won’t see Lake Howell. To the east is a spiritual center. I think it’s gonna be quiet and peaceful. There are wetlands preserved in the community.

Not impressed as cookie cutter overpriced homes where design was wasteful of space. Under stairs "walkin closet" no rack is hug & another has a small bedroom which should of been half as big as to provide a couple of feet to room size.

I am almost one year from the point of closing on a Meritage home and can not get them to fix the things that were noted on the pre-close walk through. I've lost countless days 20+ from work for repairs which they fail to show up. I now have to get legal counsel. I have purchased three other brand new homes in my life time from other builders and never had issues beyond a nail pop or two. Meritage has substantial construction defects throughout the entire house. They are the absolute worst quality, worst to respond, worst in every possible way. My neighbors are also experiencing similar issues. I hope this review will prompt potential buyers to continue to read other reviews. You will see there are many people with the same experience. If I could go back - I would not buy a Meritage home - ever.

Buyer Beware! Have an attorney review the contract before you sign it, and understand the money you put down is not refundable. They have some shady business practices and from my research and dealings with them, they are not honest.

I move in new house here, 2 months no stove to cook ( even I report them on the first day move in till now ), my bathroom smell like someone die in there, many problems but builder ignore , All my neighbors frustration too...cause they have many different problems with their house too, but builder ignore them too ... please do not buy house here If you don’t believe me , come buy house then cry like me now , even they didn’t final walk through with us too... they try on purpose!!

Good entry level townhomes. Interior units might be a little dark but good construction, design and details.

The school district is horrible. Where you guys send the kids?
