Most pathetic credit union on the planet. Get a loan and watch them charge you $12 everytime you make a loan payment. Thats right a $12 service fee to pay a bill with a debit card. This bank is a scamy corrupt institution that should be closed down for theft. Im not allowed to charge transaction fees in my pvt business but a bank can charge me a $12 service charge everytime I make a payment. Save the hassel dont work with a criminal broke bank that has to rip off their customers to profit. Bank anywhere else for your own peace of mind.

    Response from the owner

We completely understand your frustration. We offer other options for making payments that do not have a fee associated with them. We recommend using one of those options to avoid the fee in the future. You can find those options here: https://hapo.org/personal/loans/web-payment-center.

I was effected by Covid 19. While waiting to get compensation from a relief find at work my account became $6 short to cover a check I wrote for groceries. They charged me. $28 fee and returned my check, when I asked for it to be reversed so I could cover my check the manager told me to kick rocks. I explained I was in hardship but she didn’t care. Sad to see HAPO has fallen so far from grace.

I agree with all the other many people who have left poor reports for HCC. They are the absolute WORSE bank that I have ever had the displeasure to communicate with: 1. There is NO email address to the CEO Steve Anderson; 2. I had a cheque stolen in November BUT THEY STILL have not returned MY money, and NO ONE in Fraud knows any correct procedure in paperwork so they send me ONE more form after another to complete; 3. Two of the phone receptionists are SO damn rude; 4. My car loan HAS no credit for ALL the last 5 months of payment...I could go on and one. They suck! Go somewhere else!!!

HAPO allowed a car loan to my college aged son with asset to loan value of 190%. (Blue book value of $8,800-loaned him over $15k.) Typical max is 130%. This included HAPO selling him a two year extended warranty and financing it, too! (He was upside down on the vehicle from day one and ruined him financially for several years.) This is very shady practice and I consider predatory lending. Buyer beware. They do not have your best interest at heart.

I remembered the day the overly bright billboard went up, and sense I live in the surrounding area I get to have the pleasure seeing it light up my entire neighborhood. Take it down please, I've banked with you for years and I'm blinded by it every time I go out at night. This isn't the Vegas strip.

    Response from the owner

Hi Gabriel. In the evening, the LED screen is supposed to dim. We looked into this and found that the monitoring software that controls the dimming feature had and issue. Our team has fixed the problem and the screen should be dimming again around dusk each day.

This building's massive outdoor advertising screen is so bright, it can be seen all the way from Richland on a foggy night. It is distracting to drivers and dangerous, I could be hit by deerz looking at this thing.

    Response from the owner

Hi Jarrett. Thank you for your feedback. The LED readerboard is set to dim automatically in the evenings. Our facilities team checks that the brightness is turned down to an appropriate level. Please use our feedback form at https://hapo.org/feedback and someone from our team will contact you directly.

I Left Bank of America and went to HAPO because they did not endorse the Pipelines unfortunately my experience with HAPO has been nothing but horrible so I have funds that have to wait a couple of days to go through and then I incur late charges from people that want their money and those fun should have been released the same day then on top of that because this bank doesn't have I guess a deal with whatever they need to have a deal with paychecks if there's if you're supposed to get paid on Thursday and don't go through and process until Tuesday or Monday so you have to wait longer days to get your paycheck when you really shouldn't have to because other Banks get them the same day or the next day we will be leaving HAPO or experience has not been great I would also not advise using their bill pay there are system as far as accounts is confusing stay away on top of that there was a notary that did not know how to do their job as a notary properly
