I haven't had a late payment in over 10 years. These people changed their address without notifying anybody. I mailed in my house payment and it was late by the time we figured out where to re-mail it to. Refused to take it off my credit. Lost my business for life.
We are happy to discuss our communication of our address change with you directly, please feel free to call us at (414) 546-7450 and request to speak with our collections manager or assistant vice president of collections.

Don’t know why Kelly has to “help” members with a rude attitude. Honestly want to switch banks after this awful experience and having been accepted and having better rates at Summit Credit Union. Steer clear of this bank.
We’re glad we were able to speak with you and address your concerns. If you have additional feedback, please let us know.

Been a member for 25 years after setting up my first checking account in high school in the 90s. I feel as a smaller credit union they tend to have very conservative lending standards. If you’ve got below average credit stick with checking and shop around for a loan or credit card elsewhere, but if you’ve got a great credit score their lending rates are very competitive. I do almost all my banking remotely so happy with their technology and don’t have much interaction at the branch, though they were able to replace a damaged debit card at the branch within minutes.
Thanks for sharing your experiences, Ian. We're glad you've been happy!

I really hope this post is viewed by someone who has the position to make sure the person I 'am about to mention receives the credit she deserves. I live near the West Milwaukee location, but I go out of my way to go to the West Allis location because I have nothing but admiration for the staff there. Although the entire staff at the West Allis location is great,I would like to take this time to mention one person in particular who in my opinion reflects excellance. The person I 'am talking about is Mariah Hart. I myself have been a Government employee for over 20 years and have been trained by the State in how to provide the upmost best customer service possible to a difficult situation while addressing a diverse multicultural population. I can say pesonally that my experience with Mariah Hart has exceeding what I thought was great customer service. She is what represents someone who is professional, smart, informative and patience along with just knowing how to make someone feel that they are the only one who matters when it comes to providing great customer service. I can say so much great things about her, but I really want to say that you have someone very special representing your Credit Union and she deserves credit for doing her job the way she does. You just don't receive that type of treatment and services everyday.
Thank you for sharing, Richard! We're happy that you have had such outstanding experiences with Mariah.

During the Convid 19 Pandemic. I have my auto loan thru GCU so they were willing to work with me only if I showed them proof of my financial hardships. Seriously everyone someway has been affected. My husbands loan on his truck was waved no questions asked. All my payments were either waved or I got a percentage off. Very grateful for that. The gentlemen whose name is John, who is Loan Supervisor is rude as ever and unprofessional. In 9order for them to work with you on anything you gotta show proof!!!!! Last time I finance thru them!!!

So what if you are a "member/co-owner" here, this place is worse than any regular bank I have ever banked at. I opened a business account and closed it less than 5 months later. Fees here are way more expensive than at a regular bank. Also staff and management are happy to tell you what they CAN'T do for you or what fees you need to fork over before they'll lift a finger. When I first opened the account they allowed me to use my nickname on their debit card (which I have been known as for the last 40 years). When I lost the card and needed a replacement, the branch manager insisted that it could only be reissued under my legal name and then basically called me a liar saying there was no way the first one could have possibly been issued with my nickname on it. I tried repeatedly to contact upper management to help me resolve this issue but they couldn't even be bothered to return my calls. DON'T DO YOUR BANKING HERE! You will be treated better and at far cheaper cost pretty much anywhere else.

This review has nothing to do with the tellers, but the mortgage division deserves this review. Terrible! Couldn't be worse! If you care about your credit score, don't come near Guardian Credit Union. They have misreported our credit on several occasions, each resulting in us not being able to purchase a new property. As if that isn't bad enough, we have told them about this on several occasions and they fail to take responsibility, and either don't know how to fix or just don't care to fix our credit. This is the last time! Fortunately, there are lawyers that exist solely for these matters. No payment necessary as they will be securing payment from GCU once the facts are presented in court!
