I moved to this bank when I got married and use it for everything. Loans, accounts, credit cards. They are always sooo helpful and nice! Bridgette and Courtney are so wonderful and knowledgeable every time I come in with questions or concerns. Jon was also fantastic when assisting me with my car loan. Super easy, fast, and answered every question I could think of. Tori was so great helping us get everything set up with our accounts to start. Nothing but good things to say!!

We love GHFCU! They have always been there for us when we needed them! We have other accounts at multiple banks but we do business with GHFCU every chance we can! They understand that “life” happens and sometimes need a helping hand! Especially Leslie Rivera (Greenville)and Lisa Broadnax (Greenville) and Cathy in the Simpsonville branch! We send all of our friends to Greenville Heritage Federal Credit Union! I only wish they had a branch in Fountain Inn!

Never returns the VM. Checks take way too long to clear. 12 days. Staff sucks. With all the options for non banking choose something else.

Our expectation is that voicemails should be returned in a timely manner – the same business day if possible or the next business day at the latest. Our hold period varies depending upon member history. A check hold is not always necessary, and there are ways members can avoid having a hold placed on a check they deposit. Unfortunately, check fraud is rampant and this policy protects our members and the credit union from losses. We want to look into your complaints and get your feedback, so we can discuss your experience with our employees, but we could not locate you in our member database. I HAVE BEEN WITH GHFCU FOR A LONG WHILE NOW AND I WOULDN'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE TO DO MY BANKING.... I've been banking with Greenville Heritage for years and have never had any problems until recently. The mobile service is down frequently for long periods of time. I have had charges and withdrawals denied for no reason whatsoever. Mobile check deposits *supposedly* appear after two business days, but I've had checks take nearly a week and even then only half the check was available in my account! And when I called customer service, I was told the rest wouldn't show up until THE FOLLOWING WEEK. Drive thru tellers have been rude and unprofessional. I understand this past year has been hard on businesses, but this is just beyond unacceptable. As a long time customer, I'm especially disappointed.
Thank you for being a long-time member! We are sorry to hear your recent experiences have been negative. You addressed several issues in this review, and I want to respond to each one. The only time GHFCU 2 Go! has been down for a long period of time was during winter storm, URI, due to the massive power outages in Texas (our service provider is based in Texas). You can usually log in to Home Banking from the home page of our website when the app is down, but everything was affected by URI. As a result, our service provider has established backup systems to prevent a lengthy outage in the future. Mobile service outages are rare and are usually restored the same day. Feel free to call 864.467.4160 during normal business hours if home banking services are down and you need account information. As a reminder, account information is unavailable in the early morning hours as the system updates. There is always a reason when charges/withdrawals are denied. Suspected fraud and insufficient funds are the primary reasons for denial. When fraud is detected by our monitoring service, you are generally contacted by phone call or text. Once the transaction(s) is verified, and the system is allowed sufficient time to update the fraud case, your charge will generally go through. The biggest challenge we see with mobile deposits is that the check is not endorsed properly. The required verbiage for the endorsement appears within the mobile app in several places. Holds are placed when a deposited item exceeds a set dollar threshold of $225.00 in an effort to mitigate losses relating to check deposits. The funds are automatically released from this hold within a 3 business day timeframe. Please call 467.4160 and ask to speak with the appropriate branch manager, when you feel that an employee was rude or unprofessional, so we can address the issue with you and the employee in a timely manner. Our goal is to provide excellent member service and your feedback will assist us in our training efforts.

Their mobile banking system is very frequently down and it's not taken care of in a timely manner. I've been banking with this bank for two years, I am not speaking of the current outage due to winter storm. I'm stating my general experience over the past two years. I'd give y'all less stars if I could.

Unfortunately, this outage is due to the historically unprecedented winter storm, URI, and the massive power outages in Texas. I walked in to open a business account. After giving my name I was asked to sit. In less than two minutes a woman from an office behind said “ma’am you can come on in.” It was immediately distasteful. I guess I wasn’t worth her rising from her seat to introduce herself. As soon as I sat down she said immediately began to tell me what the business account DOESN’T come with and how it was just a basic account (which is fine). She didn’t try to build rapport with me, she didn’t ask me about my business and what my needs are. She told me everything I couldn’t have. I asked how their account compares to other banks business accounts and of course she stated “I don’t know what other banks are doing.” Needless to say I was in and out in less than five minutes. If I’m going to trust a financial institution with my business affairs I want it to be a bank that actually values me as a customer and someone who is knowledgeable in their field.
