have been a member for 4 yrs. never overdrawn my accounts have my business account with them and when I ask for a loan for a new auto to keep my business moving keep getting told i need to do certain things to get a loan then i make sure all is good for a loan and still get denied! My credit is good make plenty of money yearly and debt to incomer ratio is 8% still no loan! When I try to take out cash money I have to order the money a day in advance never had to do that with other credit unions and they seem to act like you are interrupting their day with any questions about loans they just rush you out with no info. They say they are there to help but have not seen any proof that they are to help. I will be taking my business to another establishment that will treat you like a person not a nuisance!

Long story short, I lost my debit card and it took over 3 months to receive a new one because they had to change my address to my new one first (which is fine) but had to do it via mail instead of just changing it over the phone. They then: -sent the change of address to the wrong address -had to be reminded to then send me a new debit card once it was changed -confirmed the card was sent and to wait a few more days even when I hadn't received it after the expected time -and when I hadn't received it after those few days, was told (and here's my favorite one) that the card was never actually sent BECAUSE MY NEW ADDRESS IS TOO LONG. We just put a car in space for no reason and yet I can't get a new debit card to save my life. Excellent.

I've been a credit union member in NM for many years. Love credit unions! Walked into Great Plains last week to move my account here. There was one customer, and two tellers. One teller was waiting on the customer, the other was just looking at her screen. 15 minutes went by. She never even looked up and acknowledged my presence. There was no one at all working at any of the desks in the lobby. I finally got up to the other teller. After two minutes of talking to her it was obvious this credit union does NOT want new members. Don't waste your time trying to become one.

Called to refinance 2 cars with almost $50,000 in loans but couldn't even get a call back. First time I was given a voicemail to a lender and when I called back about an hour or so later, I was told she left early and "apparently no one knew about it". The other lender was supposedly not available either time I called. If that's the service a potential new customer gets, I can't imagine what kind of service a regular customer gets. Fortunately there is a huge competition in Credit Unions.

I have had an account with them for a couple of years now and have watched the customer service deteriorate. I went in there recently with basic inquiries and was treated as though I was a nuisance & was given a very generalized & unhelpful answer to the question I was asking. The account "specialists" or whoever (not the people at the counter/window) were frankly quite rude. Overall, it is unfortunate that this place has gone downhill because it used to be a great credit union. I plan on closing my accounts with them and moving on to a company that values their customer relationships & has interest in helping them rather than treating them like an annoyance. **** Updating this several months later to note that nothing has changed, still super difficult to deal with & wish I had an option to leave negative stars to warn people about how crabby these people are.

I've been a member for years. Great Plains Is A Awesome Bank. Nice Polite Service. Credit Unions Are The Only Way To Go. Thank You Great Plains. If You Had More Stars I'd Give Them To You.

Courtney was the most helpful and polite person that i could have ever delt with. Every single person in the branch and bank in total is amazing and I really enjoy banking with Great Plains FCU. Keep up the good work.
