Goldin Choice Management West 31st St, New York

Poor management company. The building I live in that is managed by Goldin Choice has multiple apartment and building level violations. They refuse to make repairs and when they are compelled to by law, they do a poor job.

Very sketchy. Worked with Ilana Sherizen specifically. They lied to me, filed a claim against me, and have now ghosted me. Ilana refused to give me contact information for the super until the last week of my lease to arrange how to throw my trash out. I have in writing the super explicitly telling me to leave a bunch of trash bags in my unit (because there were two trash barrels for the whole building). They then charged me a $500 fee for it and will not respond to my outreach about it. Oh, and they also tried to raise my rent from $1495 to $2000 which is illegal.

Dan Stern was easily the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with during apartment searching. Totally disorganized and poor communication skills. I'd steer clear of this company if you value your time.

Goldin is the property manager for our apt building. My husband and I moved out last week, but the experience we had with them was solid. Our deposit was given back even though we didn’t leave the place in the most perfect condition. They likely had to do a deep cleaning plus paint the walls since we left some marks from paintings. Our super Geo was a delight.

Dealing with your management company can be a total pain in this city. Luckily Goldin has done good work. They returned out deposit within 30 days which is not always so well handled. My last property management company took 7 months to return my deposit!!!

I’ve never liked my property management company, but these guys aren’t half bad! Working with them is relatively seamless. They ANSWER my calls and emails promptly. They actually do the work they say they’re going to do. Much love from my end. I’ve lived all over NY so I’ve experienced it all.

As a tenant in one of Goldin Management’s properties I can tell you that I have been very happy. This is a property management company that takes proper care of its buildings. Heating system worked well in the winter and central AC that is well functioning is a big plus.

Very unprofessional and mean worker. Poor communication and cheap tricks to take more money from tenants. My property manager and the super of my apartment together planned a conspiracy to steal money from security deposit after i left and stated that the apartment when given to new tenants was not clean though it was and complained of stains in bathroom and kitchen. They did not enter the apartment after handing it over and expected me to call a cleaning service to clean small stains and old marks that existed prior to my move in and demanded 150$ for 1 hour or less of cleaning that the super had to do after

Golden Management was a pleasure to deal with for my last transaction, particularly Brandon Wechsler. As a real estate associate broker in business for 32 years & having dealt with many different management companies, I must say that Goldin ranks up there with the best. Very cooperative, knowledgeable & simply made my life much easier. Kudos

I am now stepping down as board president of a Brooklyn condo which has been managed by Goldin for several years and feel compelled to give Goldin high marks for the stellar management they have provided over the years. Throughout my tenure as board president I have had the opportunity to work very closely with their team. As such, I have witnessed first hand three important things I feel distinguish their services. 1. Integrity. Time and time again I have seen a level of professionalism that improved the services rendered for our building. 2. They care. This might sound odd to say, but it sure has been a pleasure to work with real people that responded to my manic highs and lows as a board president, always understanding that this is a service industry and they are working with people. 3. They are experienced. Every time a new and unusual challenge presented itself, I found Goldin had someone in their office who either dealt with the challenge or could help me locate a professional who has. Goldin has been there for me, on the front lines. They deserve high marks, five stars.
