GM financial is complete devastation as a lender. They do not have any help services available. They charge mad late fees, and make it sooooo hard to pay off a past due balance. I was only allowed one deferment during the pandemic. I had to take a pay cut and wasn't able to catch up on my payment. The car they sold me was trash and kept breaking down. I had to put 15K into the hood of this "new" car. So happy I was able to sell that piece of trash and pay it off. I will never use GM again nor will I get a GM or Chevy ever again.

Don't let GM finance anything for you. After you pay them off they'll continue to take money on your account and then give you an address from 6 years ago that they sent your reimbursement checks to. That's if you get a competent agent that can even tell you have checks you're owed.

Was told 4 times not to pay becuse of my car was total and I had gap insurance. so would be pay for and won't hurt my credit went from 750 credit down to 540 over 90 days late then got hold total lost department they said I should other departments tell you no was going get house in December but doesn't look like that is going to be happening.

My family has been going through a very difficult time. My dog has cancer and treatment has been expensive and we are going through a custody battle that's wiping us out. Not to mention putting fuel in our tank to keep us warm for winter since we have 3 kids. We talked to gm financial on Friday and they told us they will give us a week to make the payment. Then they sent the repo guy out on a Saturday night (the very next day) to take our car when they were closed (so we couldn't even call to fix it). Not sure how I will get my kids to school now. GM financial seems very repo happy. Not good to work with. I would not recommend them.

I'm a signal parent that got laid off due to COVID, called them several times letting them know I will make my payment up. I let them know that I started my new job and will give them a payment when I receive my check, they repo my car two days later. Now I am without transportation to go to my job to be able to make my payment. Kick a man when he is down , sad.

This place is the biggest piece of trash company that has ever existed. I leased a car. When the lease was up I took it to be inspected beforehand AT GM to ensure no extra charges would occur. There was a dent from where someone backed into me and I understood I would have to pay for that but I was assured that this would be the only charge and was estimated around $200. Awesome. I turned the car in and a month later I got a bill for almost $3,000. Apparently they lied to me at the inspection and decided to put brand new tires on the car. Uh excuse me what?! No. That’s why I took the car to be inspected by GM beforehand AND I had just had a state inspection less than 30 days prior stating I did not need new tires. So they charged me for tires they probably never put on the car and I’m still paying for it. I’ve called customer service infinite times and they never to this date - because I called today - have my address on file correctly. I have corrected it every time and today they had my father’s address on file and he moved within the past year. I turned the car in over a year ago so I don’t even know how they got his address. I’m beyond frustrated and I’m honestly at a point where I’m refusing to pay the balance. They can send it to collections I don’t even care anymore because they’ve messed so many things up and should never have charged me for the tires in the first place. They’re all about making money off people.

Wish I could put zero stars. Leased a car through GM since my father works there they are a complete joke. There billing department lost my payment and is now trying to charge me for it. They hide a disposition fee in the lease which charged me $495. They also charged for scratches on the car but sent no proof of the damage. Did I mention my car after having it for two months broke down and left me and my 3 month old baby on the side of the expressway. Took the car in to the service department after having it towed and they acted as if I was crazy and sent me home to have the same thing happen to me three days later. Be aware of them. Customer service is terrible and unwilling to work or help you. Highly disappointed in them be smart and lease somewhere else to save your sanity. Their customer service proves they only car about the money.

I turned in my lease for a new lease vehicle both under GM financial. I have been paying for 2 vehicles the last 2months because they have yet to be able to figure out why money keeps coming out of my bank account for my old lease. I also have been told multiple times I will be refunded via mail or have payment taken off my current lease and that has yet to happen. I am on the phone with them every 2weeks without anything being done. I Love GM Financial great company. Customer service is always very friendly and helpful. Recently bought a car and requested dealership to try through GM Financial before any other bank. 2nd car loan with them wouldn’t want to deal with any other bank for car financing.

This one star is based on GM Financial's response to my sister's request to pay off the remainder of her deceased husband's loan. They refused to take her $6,000, proceeds from my brother-in-law's life insurance policy, and told her they are now going to repossess the vehicle. GM Financial did not, however, have any problem refusing the loan payments which my sister continued to pay over the phone EVERY MONTH SINCE her husband passed from esophageal cancer Dec 20, 2017! SHAME ON YOU, GM FINANCIAL, FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF A WIDOW, TAKING HER RELIABLE FORM OF TRANSPORTATION AND GIVING HER NOTHING IN RETURN, SO YOU CAN RE-SELL THE VEHICLE AND MAKE DOUBLE OR TRIPLE THE BALANCE ON IT!!
