I went into this place to sell some coins that I had. There was a security guard at the front entrance which was way cool. Made me feel safe and secure. As I walked in I noticed the store had a lot of interesting items for sell. The staff behind the counter were very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend.

The first time I was here I had a pretty good experience. The woman who helped me was kind and gave me a great price on some scrap I brought in. However, when I came in yesterday, it was a different story. I brought in some jewelry that I was thinking of selling. The young man (the skinnier one) who helped me was kind of a jerk. When weighing the jewelry, he was throwing it around like I had already sold it to him and that didn't sit right with me considering one of the pieces consisted of gold and stone beads. One of my items weighed 14.1 grams of 14k. Mind you it had diamonds in it so let's subtract the .03 grams for that and you're left with 13.8 grams. The spot price of gold was right around $1,334/Oz yesterday, so roughly $42/gram. Multiply that by your gram weight (13.8*42=579) and then multiply that by the fineness of your gold (579*.5833) and you get a final number of 337. Now of course I'm not going to walk into a gold shop and try to sell it for that much, given my wonderful previous visit I was thinking I would get maybe 240. When he tells me his price, I thought I misheard him at first. He said he would give me 207 for the bracelet, 130 below full melt value and 30 for the other gold bracelet. I was a little dumbfounded at first. I asked him if he could do any better and his reply is "I'm not really inclined to do any better, this bracelet has been heavily worn and I'm going to have to melt it because these never sell." That is when I got a little ticked because for one it was not heavily worn, I've actually NEVER worn it and two, you just threw the bracelet all over the place! So I said I was gonna pass on selling and as I'm walking out he stops me and tells me he calculated the price by taking 25% off the melt price. WHAT? Did I have a sign above my head with an arrow pointing down saying "gullible idiot"? If that were the case I would've walked out with $253. On top of all this, my boyfriend who went in to sell an 18k bracelet for me told me that he dealt with the same guy which made complete sense seeing as he got low-balled as well. My advice for the guy who I dealt with yesterday, stop throwing people's jewelry around when weighing it and don't undercut people. Maybe treat person with respect and honesty like the woman who helped me the first time? I thought I had found a nice shop when I found you guys but not after not one but two really poor experiences with the same man. Time to go eat something sweet to get the sour taste out of my mouth...

To say I’ve had a great experience would be a huge understatement. Christine and her staff are absolutely amazing! They’ve helped me and my family many times and have gone above and beyond for me, there’s absolutely no corporate nonsense here, only wholesome family run small business that treat their customers with respect. Thank you Christine!

Let me start off by saying that the guy I met with is SUPER nice - but clearly you need to deal with the owner - had a watch that was worth aftermarket $8000 wholesale and was only requesting a 2-3 week loan for 3-4K - he checked with the owner and outright said they would pass because there were too many fakes of this watch - or they had possibly taken in a fake at some point (he wasn't sure as thats what the owner told him over the phone) - mine was a MINY IWC BIG PILOT had Our and inner box, paperwork, a USB key made specifically for this model on the making of the watch since it have IWC's first in-house movement - and I even had and brought the original sales receipt of the purchase of the watch (I was the original owner) It was from the largest jewelry shop in Philly with the serial number matching the seriel number on the outer and inner box as well as the documentation and watch itself -The receipt was also in my name being the original purchaser. I also had brought another $2K in Mont Blanc Pens and we didn't get this far, but as a back-up I brought two Rolex’s also with box and papers with me, BUT once he even suggested that they would pass on the IWC on authenticity authentic with all the paperwork I brought I didn't bother. If you are a watch collector don’t waste your time with these guys -they are completely clueless - an IWC with box paperwork and original sales receipt - but pass straight up - they could have called the original seller which is a huge nigh end watch dealer who's details were on the release - the next place I went jumped and wanted to buy instead of do a loan - offered me a much higher loan than I wanted (I borrowed less because it really was meant to be a temp bridge loan) - but I did the loan in 2 minutes and will pick up the watch next week - I had 3000% more authentication than 99% of customers at either store - I think that actually hurt me at Glendale Jewelry & Loan - which is so weird. To make things weireder - they even had purple crosses and silver stars for sale - which I find VERY offensive to buy or sell for personal reasons and ironically another sales clerk told me - nah - think they are fake - seriously? - being something worth $8k was questioned with substanial provenance for a $3-4k loan for 2 weeks - and they turned me down outright and don’t want to see what else I brought based on authenticity - which I was solid on - but yet they are selling stuff another clerk is claiming directly is fake - ironically - if they would have just called the people on the sales receipt - they could have confirmed authenticity - it’s ok to just pass - but I felt passed over!!! So silly - first and last experience pawning anhthing!! They wasted my time - this after 4 phone calls - I am more than annoyed as a collector and expert and as simply a person - it was a waste of my time and my night! Really bad - I recommend unless you have gold, jewelry or fake or offensive military stuff just avoid this place - totally clueless! I can but no longer need to prove authenticity 1000 times over! They said they wanted Rolex or IWC - I brought in an iconic IWC- but they have NO idea what they are doing - I challenge he them to question the authenticity of my item! Total waste of time!
