This is the best decision I have ever made to join this this Credit Union. The staff there has the knowledge of what real customer service is. Courteous, friendly, professional and unbiased. Each time I go there the staff treats me with respect. I have noticed that they treat each member with undivided attention. If there was a star rating of more than 5 stars I would definitely give 10/10. I totally recommend any one looking for a bank to do business with, please look into Gesa Credit Union. I love banking with Gesa 🤗
Hi, Amlesh! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really appreciate it! Enjoy your day!

I have been an account holder with Gesa (previously Inspirus, previously WSECU) for about ten years and I recently applied for a car loan and a credit card through Gesa and I will say this. Their credit department, be it a credit card or a car loan, are fantastic. Worked with me over the phone to get a loan secured within 24 hours. Super impressed with that specific process. Now... their mobile app and general online banking system leave something to be desired in my opinion. I also bank with BECU, Wells Fargo and T-Mobile Money, and as far as ease of use of the banking apps and online systems, Gesa ranks at the bottom. I personally keep most of my money in other accounts for daily use because I feel more confident in those apps ability to get my money where I need it and when. But Gesa does have the best interest rate in WA (at least for me) and as stated before I loved working with their loans department. Solid 4 out of 5 stars.
Thank you, Tyler! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review! Have a great day!

Cant make payments from app unless you add another bank acct…. They charge you to make a payment over the phone…..website payments only allow the exact amount of the loan…..you have to go in to make a higher payment…..customer service is a joke and they’re extremely unprepared for customer questions and concerns🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️

I called in and asked A question about wire transfers, no charge one day the next day its $20. Horrible customer service and since GESA took over we have had a few accounting mistakes.

Stay away from this Credit Union. I belonged to School Credit Union for 30 years. They were great. Gesa has horrible customer service. There online banking has big glitches. I tried to pay off an account and it would not let me pay the full amount. I had to keep 1 cent balance. Then I get a late notice and a 20 dollar late fee on one penny. Balance due was zero. See photo. Nothing but trouble.

Despite Assurance from the company's own website, they are not actually part of the shared branching Network of credit unions, would not recommend. Also try sorting their reviews by new, mostly low rating over the last 2 years. All the good ratings are from 4 years ago.
Hello Evan. We truly apologize for any confusion and would like to talk to you to learn more about this. Will you please e-mail your contact information to [email protected] so we can follow up? We are a part of the Co-Op shared branching network. However, we are not currently a part of the Co-Op ATM network. Thank you for your feedback.

I've been a member of this credit union since it was the Schools Employee Credit Union maybe 15 years ago. The service, online portal and accessibility to any members in Western Washington has severely gone downhill. I had to call in to pay off my loan because the online portal wasn't accepting payment. Come to find out the online portal doesn't tell you the proper amount that you owe. You need to call in to make the final payment since "our system doesn't account for interest"
Hi Brad. Thank you for your feedback. We would love the opportunity to discuss this situation further. If you'd like to be contacted, please send us an e-mail to [email protected] with your contact information and we'll follow up. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I have been a continuous member for 27 years through Seattle Teacher's Credit Union, Inspirus, and now GESA. Despite having excellent credit, and healthy amounts of money in my savings and money marker, they bounced an important check. I understand that it was my responsibility, but I missed transferring money by one hour. No call or text to alert. When I did catch it, the response was, "you have online banking and are responsible". Adios GESA. I miss Seattle Teacher's Credit Union's customer service. There are better credit unions in Seattle.

I have had nothing but issues with Inspirus since joining on my husbands account. Today I called the number on the back of my debit card to report it lost. The automated messaging system told me to press 3 for card services after hours. I did and the company I spoke to asked for my social. I provided it and she couldn’t find my card in their system. Turns out, they switched after hours companies and I had to call a separate number. Once I called the correct number, I spoke to a gentleman with a heavy accent. I could barely understand him and I had to repeat myself numerous times. He wouldn’t answer any questions about if my pending transactions would still clear or not and I’ll have to call Inspirus in the morning to get another card ordered. What’s the point in having an after hours company to service your members cards if they can’t fully help us? This is just the tip of the iceberg.

I have been with this credit union for all of it's existence, formerly SECUWA, formerly Washington School Employees Credit Union. For 30 + years banking without issues (mostly), until they sold out and merged with GESA credit union. This has beed a nightmare trying to access my account. I hope they read the reviews, and I'm sure I'm not alone here. They aren't answering their phones, I've tried for three days from morning til night never once getting anyone to talk to. Online they say they can't verify my account, every time I try to login it's rejected. There simply is no excuse to not have a better plan in place...I will try again tomorrow and when I do get through I will say goodbye to GESA for good.
