This was my first refinancing experience. Lisa Wendl, Lisa Tuan, Im not sure which name she goes by because I see both in different emails, was absolutley ill-informed and seemed very unsure of herself. this was by absolutely by far the most HORRIFIC experience ever. It started out alright but something always kept coming up. Granted, my circumstances were a little complicated but as the details came to light, I began to notice her telling me things when she wasn’t sure about it. There was a lot of telling me to do one thing and next thing you know, she comes back and tells me another because the lender said otherwise. Because of her, I lost out on rental income property of about $10,000 because we were going to refinance as an owner occupied residence but later she comes back saying it’s better to proceed as investment property. It got really bad towards the end of the process when I had to sign escrow papers and being it my first time, I had questions about what was what. I would call and ask her and as usual, “I dont know.” “I’m not sure.” So then I would call the escrow officer (Sue Chen from FATC in saratoga) and she did’t know either. So I’m calling for help and we got the mortgage broker and escrow officer pointing fingers at each other because they dont have answers. It was such a horrific experience I really hope nobody else has to experience this. Lisa and her team at General Mortgage Capital Corporation was so unprofessional and unorganized. Submitting documents is part of the process, that I understand and So I expected it. However, its ridiculous when they ask for paperwork and then come back saying they already have it. It was just so chaotic. I dont expect anything to be done about this. It probably sounds like Im venting, which I partly am, but trying to be objective as much as possible. Please just do your due diligence and get someone reliable. In this whole process, one thing I can take away is not to do what they did, that is being ill-informed and telling clients “I dont know.” In the midst of the loan process, I was able to get my real estate license and working with a broker in the Palo Alto area. If you need resources, you can reach out to me, ask me questions, whatever it is, You can hit me up. Be safe and stay healthy during the pandemic everyone. Im sure not all mortgage brokers are ill-informed but Im just saying, my experience with these people was absolutely the worst.
