Worst company ever they need to be shutdown they are ruining peoples lives. I finance a car from them 7 years ago when I was under the impression I was paying for gap insurance never missed a payment. I was rear ended in the vehicle and it was totaled out. After a year I went to visit my grandmother and that's where I resided at the time I had the vehicle. I found a letter stating I owe the remaining balance I arrange a payment plan. But after losing my job and having major health issues I no longer could make payments. I tried to settle the debt but like I read in others comments the company. Did not want to compromise with me at all it was all on their terms. So now they sued me twice paying on the vehicle 3x the amount it's was worth and garnishing my wages. Gateway Financial Solutions is no good stay away don't put yourself in any bad situations because nothing good comes from this company. All I would like is to settle for deletion and move on with my life I have a family I can barely support thanks a lot.

The reason why I gave four stars is because for the most part I have never had a rude customer service rep. I paid on time so I never had to deal with that part. However I will tell you this and you can make your own decision. This place is what you call a second chance finance company. If you are not reading your contract with them please do. What I learned is that with places like this your interest rates are so high and you will always be upside down with them feeling like you will never pay the car you have off. The feeling you are having is correct. Even thought you are paying your car note on time each month and everything seems to be working well you may have skipped over the fine print on the contract that states that you have a daily interest rate of $8 per day even after you have paid your car note on time each month. for example your car note is $400 per month and you make every payment on time for a year you will also need to add in the $8 dollars daily interest for a year that comes out to about $2,920 per year extra. If you have a car with this company and now are in a better financial space get out now before you pay triple the amount that you will never see again. However if that's not the case and no other company will finance you stay with gateway for about a year and trade and or refinance for a lower interest rate.

I got a van from Gateway and at the time I was glad to have transportation. However after almost 2 years of making every payment on time. In December of 2017 I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and I lost EVERYTHING. My home, my job and I had to turn over the van back to Gateway. I had to fight to live. Without ANY KIND of income during my fight with cancer. A few of my coworkers pitched in every month to keep my phone on so I could get to chemo, radiation and surgical procedures. Now I'm permanently disabled for life. Living on a fixed income of less than $1,300 a month. Gateway has since sold the van and getting payments from someone as well. So both of us are now paying for the same van. Over 32,000 for a USED van that's been passed to someone else. I cant file government taxes because being on disability is not taxed by the government. So they TAKE any refund I would get from the state. How do they sleep at night. I wouldn't tell ANYBODY sign or agree to ANYTHING with this company!!!!

Nightmare for your life , peace , your pockets 🙏 for whoever having a hard time with this company . I'm so glad that I'm trusting God because my peace comes from him . However many of people having hard time . When they ask can they help you with any issues , it's not genuine look at the world people money hungry . I could go on, no need just be careful with all companies like this one . They will call your landlord after you've paid off debt they still want more information stating I said it was OK to release . Praise God my landlord knew me better the this . Be blessed everyone. My husband and I have been dealing with Gateway for a few years and we have not had any issues. Every customer service rep we have ever talked to was very helpful and polite. My husband loss his job due to being ill and we fell behind in payments because our income changed. Even after they attempted to call us several times I finally talked with a wonderful rep name Shelby and she helped me a TON and helped us with a plan to get back on track. So, this is the second review I am leaving. Scroll down and you will see my first one along with a comment from one of their representatives. I have tried multiple times to deal with this company to pay off my debt with absolutely no luck unless I do exactly what they want. They are all or nothing and will absolutely not work with you unless it is on their terms. I would never recommend using Gateway Financial to anyone. This is a debt that I have tried multiple times to work out a payment arrangements on for over 15 years and now because I can’t afford the terms they want they are garnishing my wages. I could understand and even agree with this if I wasn’t trying to pay off the debt but I have literally been trying from the time I voluntarily asked them to take the car back because of losing my job at the time with absolutely no compromise on their end. If a car place offers Gateway as an option I would highly recommend finding a different place.

Horrible customer support. They do not care about people at all and just want to make money off of you. Read the reviews and something that happened to someone else that the owner said was a "unique situation", happened to my girlfriend. She sent the paperwork but it "never arrived" and now her car got repoed leaving her in more financial problems. This is not a unique situation and a scam being ran to steal your money. My girlfriend still doesn't have her car back because they refuse to release. Avoid these people at all cost. A note to the owner, I will gladly change my review if this stops happening and we find out why you aren't getting people's paper. This is not their fault this is you running a scam. Get my girlfriend's car back, and find everyone's missing papers. I should note that if nothing comes of this I will be meeting with my attorney. We have evidence we sent our papers needed to prevent this situation. I see other people are having issues too so there will be plenty of evidence to support our case

Two stars for the staff who are actually respectful during a phone conversation. That is what you call good customer support. Everyone else I'd rather not come across. Please and Thank you. I am honestly at lost for words from what happened to me today. I was out of work from Covid for 2 weeks. That pushed me back on a lot of bills. When i called to make a payment arrangement the lady i spoke with was Very Very rude starting the convo off by saying” so i see you’re 30 days past due , what’s up with that” i remained calm but the way she talked to be was very very dehumanizing. Cutting me off and not listeni g o anything. asking personal questions that was none of their business! I explained my situation but she didn’t care. I had to hang up because i was 3 seconds from hopping on the highway right to the main office building. If i can just turn my car in and start fresh i would. Out of my 31 years of living i NEVER had poor customer service like this…I’m still shocked.

They are always wonderfully polite and in the year so far we have done business together I honestly have no complaints. Then again though I pay my payments on time, and I stick to my end of the contract I signed with them. As they keep to their end.
