    When purchasing a new car, one of the most difficult things is estabilishing a relationship with the people you are working with in making the purchase. I was one of those customers that was absolutely skeptical of all dealerships, and was looking for the catch or the angle at which the dealship would screw me over in making the deal. This dealership was entirely different experience. I purchased a 50K Armada from them living 6 hours away due to the honesty, integrity, and open communication that I received from this dealership (specifically Rob and Don). Our local dealers in Virginia could not even touch the respectful way I was treated here. They went above and beyond what was necessary to not only ensure I was happy and well taken care of, but more importantly, to make the dealings with them honest, straightforward, and respectul of both my time and my wishes. Never once did I feel pressure or for lack of a better word that "sketchyness" that I felt at countless dealerships. Yes, I ended up with an outstanding deal. More importantly, I have found a dealership that actually takes pride in doing the right thing and is not trying to make a deal. It was refreshing and I would recommend you at least come and talk with them if you are looking at new car. P.S. No, I am not being paid for this review. I rarely write reviews but my expereince here warrants one. They were awsome from my first contact to signing on the dotted line.

    It was very good, we don’t live Boone so that’s why we most likely won’t purchase a new car there.

    On April 12, 2018 we purchased a new 2017 Frontier Crew Cab from AutoStar Nissan of Boone. We live out of state and made the 300 mile trip to buy this vehicle. We were given the total purchase amount and were asked to bring a cashier's check, which we did. At the close of the deal, Joe Pozo realized that the check was for $30.00 more, as they had made a mistake on the amount of out of state sales tax that they had charged. Mr. Pozo stated that when he turned the paperwork in that he would see that the $30.00 over-payment was sent back to us. We waited two weeks without receiving a check, so my husband called Joe and asked about the check and he said he would take care of it. After another two weeks without receiving the check, my husband called him back and left a voice message, which he never returned. After a few days without a return call, my husband contacted Joe Sarro (General Manager), and explained the situation to him. He said he would check into the matter and call him back. He called back and stated that it was handled and we should get our check in a few days, this was May 16th. Then on May 30, 2018, Joe Sarro called to ask if we had ever received the check, and my husband told him that we had not. That is the last we heard from them, and we still have not received our check as of today, June 12, 2018, two months after the purchase. It is only $30.00, but it is the principle in that it is our money and not theirs. I would not recommend them, or do any other business with them, as they are not honest. We also paid them to do the title and licensing, but they sent it all to us with a check and we had to spend 3 hours at the DMV to it processed. very unhappy with this dealership.

    Great place now that Everett has taken over, very nice, and friendly people. Totally recommend for your auto needs, Reed in service is a great asset to the company and great guy to work with. The new facility is clean and impressive especially for our little town of Boone.

    This is a warning to anyone even considering doing business with these people. Run far away. I purchased a used Honda minivan from them last year and was hounded until I left them a 5 star review. Two months later I had to have the engine rebuilt a month after that they call me and tell me that my credit union didn't send enough money. THIS IS IMPORTANT, come to find it out by the lead investigator of the North Carolina DMV they sold me a van that had 48,000 more miles on it than the odometer said. YES they sold me a van that had had the miles rolled back. When I contacted the owner via email I got an email back from his lawyer, not him. I currently have a complaint filed with the NC attorney general and pursuing other legal action. These people, in my opinion, should be run out of town. IF they did it to me what makes you think they won't do it to you.

    Unbelievable. They may have some good vehicles for sale, but it is best to stay FAR away from the service or parts departments. I write this review after discovering what was REALLY wrong with my car to offer proof of how ludicrously dishonest these people at Autostar are, at least in the service and parts areas. My horn was not working properly and making a faint sputtering sound. Since I live in Boone, I stopped by to see if I could have someone check it out, since a flaw such as this will cause a vehicle to fail inspection. The person at the service desk was this guy named Reed, and he immediately said "I'm sorry, we can't get to anything for a least a few days. We're totally booked up" before I, the customer even said a word. This was strike 1: pushing a potential customer away. This was strike 2: Another fellow who was a technician (and whose name I can't remember) listened to my horn, and said it "sounded like water was in it." Really? How can WATER get under a car hood without a flood that's at least 3 feet high? It cannot; this is physically impossible. Now, for strike 3: The man at the parts desk (I never got his name) said that my car had TWO horns for two different tones that would cost about $200 total. Being a student of Physics, I can tell you right now that my car has ONE horn that emits ONE tone of about 400 Hz. After listening to this garbage, I decided to move on and head to McNeil Nissan of Wilkesboro to hear a second opinion. McNeil Nissan was able to discover the problem very quickly; there was a bad connection with some wiring near the steering column. The horn was perfectly fine; my car had ONE horn and it was NOT damaged by water. And they fixed it at a great price with friendly and efficient service the entire time. This was what I had hoped for in Boone, but alas, it did not happen. In short, one can tell that the ownership has changed. Autostar Nissan used to be called Everett Nissan, and they were as good as McNeil Nissan in Wilkesboro. Since both the service AND parts departments at Autostar consist of more than a few liars and scammers (either that, or they have no idea what they are doing), I will not be returning for any bit of service. In fact, I will probably just steer clear of this place altogether. They have already proven their dishonestly quite clearly.

    An absolute joke of a dealership. The sales guy was okay, but showed no motivation to sell me a car. They were severely understaffed for a Saturday and admitted up front that they would not be able to beat a lease from Toyota. What? If you are in sales, that is the last thing you say. This dealer needs a management overhaul and a better customer service experience. Very disappointing. This is the 4th nissan dealer I have visited in my 2 years living in NC and so far they have hall been terrible. Im sticking with Toyota and Honda.
