First Reliance Bank S Shelmore Blvd, Mt Pleasant

This is by far the best bank in Charleston. Everyone is so friendly, and they always host amazing customer events – pictures with Santa, pictures with the Easter Bunny, etc. I even convinced my neighborhood association to switch our accounts to First Reliance because of their amazing customer service. The “big” banks are so frustrating because you can never talk to anyone. First Reliance always takes care of me!

First Reliance Bank in Mount Pleasant is a great place for your complete banking needs. I have been impressed with the level of customer service here and have felt well taken care of here. The staff here is very patient and knowledgeable and equipped to handle just about every banking situation. I enjoy doing my banking here.

I recently opened an account at the Mt Pleasant branch. The Customer Service Rep was very professional, friendly and helpful with the entire process. She made sure all my questions and concerns were answered. Her attention to detail went beyond just opening an account!! She even made sure I was set up for online banking instead of sending me home to sign up online. They really DID appreciate my business! I have never had a better experience opening an account anywhere.

Everyone at First Reliance Bank was EXTREMELY helpful as I opened a checking and savings account. They made me feel as though my finances were as important to them as they are to me. I can not express enough how impressed I was with their exemplary service.

I have worked with Megan in the Mt Pleasant branch multiple times now and she is amazing. She is fast, knowledgeable, and goes the extra mile to make sure I have all the things I need. I don't know why anyone would bank anywhere else.

Excellent bank. The hours are the best. Open till 8pm on SATURDAY!! I would like it if they offered the mobile check deposit, but I'm sure that will come. Excellent service and best of all, you can always get someone on the phone during regular hours. Love them!

First Reliance is a fine bank for basic checking, however with a recent deposit was put on hold for 9 days. The Asst Manager was going to call the other bank and clear the check but she forgot and after 7 days I went in and they said it will be two more days until the funds clear. At my BOA business account checks clear the next am. I have two accounts with First Reliance and hope they can improve on the 9 day hold.

I use to bank with a huge national firm. I am so glad that I moved to First Reliance. It is the first bank that I have ever worked with where they know me by name. They are so much easier to work with than the big name banks. There is no comparison,
