After 20 years with this bank I thought we were in good hands, but apparently not! Money came up missing from our account and nobody could figure out where it went. Now all our savings is gone and to top it all off they charged me a fee for closing my account.....REALLY!!!🤬

Y'all I'm not usually one to leave negative review but I'm happy in this case to make an exception. DO NOT trust your hard earned money to First National Bank of Trenton. 1. Several days after opening my account I went to make a deposit. They couldn't find my account! Turns out only one person was trained to "push the green button" so to speak to finalize my new account. This person was out with a sick child which is totally understandable. However You. Are. Bank. People need their money. Have a back up person on hand or have someone in the main branch cover. 2. I have not been to Houston in two years. 2 transactions at 2 different gas stations in the Houston and Katy area posted in the amount of $85 a piece. Had to cancel my card which they don't offer expedited replacement for. They credited me the $170 pending investigation. I haven't heard a word from them. Not even a peep. Today I notice they force charged me $85. No notification. The investigation was obviously a joke. I haven't been to Houston nor do I have a car that holds $85 worth of gas. I'm now overdrawn $45. All I want to do is close the account and break ties! I have a call into them. I'm not holding my breath. It's almost worth the $170 to get away from them. 3. To add insult to injury.... They want you to pay $7 a month for them to NOT take care of your account!

This was a 5 star but with first national bank switching to cap Tex everything is bad . Every single time I call about my account not one can give me a straight answer of why my account was negative. My account has never been over drafted ever in the past 10 years and no one tell me why . It pain to switch accounts but I am about to . I loved this bank before the switch

I have been with FNB for quite a few years...but that may change soon. They have gone downhill in recent years. I started using their bill pay - it was difficult to figure how they processed the payments..some took a couple days others took 1 week. The clerks I spoke to didn't seem to know how the process worked. They said there were 2 different ways to process checks but couldn't elaborate why or which payments would be done which way. And since one way took substantially longer to process this is important. This came to a head about 2 years ago when $3000.00 was taken out of my account by the "bill pay company" they use and it never showed up at my creditor. 3 months later the money was deposited back into my account. I never received a explanation as to how this could happen. Of course they said it was the creditor's problem and the creditor blamed it on the bank. However the money was removed from my account and went somewhere for 3 months. At that time I started verifying that creditors actually received my checks. Earlier this year 2 more substantial sized checks "went missing" for 1.5 weeks. I did not wait on them this time... I insisted they put a stop pay on the checks and refund my money. It took 2 days but it was done. Basically the bill pay company takes the money out of my (your) account before the creditor receives the check. This totally eliminates the checks and balance system. It is called "kyting checks".. Now today I need to do bill pay and guess what the system is down...again. They "hope" to have it up soon. What do we do about bill pay in the interim I ask.....well really can't do anything until the system is fixed. And we hope that is soon. HOPE FNB needs to get there act together.

My debit card expired and when I called to find out why I didn’t get a new one, I was told the lady in charge of ordering the expired cards decided I hadn’t used the card enough to order me another one. Closing account after 10+ yrs because I cannot access my own money.
