Got told (corporate) my foreign transactions would include a 1% fee. Got charged 1.65%. Local branch says 1.3% and to call Visa. Visa says discretion of the bank. Call corporate again and get met with “uhhhh”. This bank is an absolute joke.

Would give the Carlisle branch a 0 star but wasn't able. I reported my ATM card stolen on a Friday morning in June just after opening it was 9:08 am. By Saturday morning at 10:30 when I went to ATM my account was -146.00 without me spending a cent. You wonder how this could have happened? FNB did not cancel the reported card for 12 hours . Thinking I was FDOC insured I filed the compliant 3 times and here over 60 days later I have been told the case is closed and I'm responsible. AND they turned in my account to a collection agency which I am also consider responsible for. They did not do there job by canceling my card an try hey are making me pay for it. This is the worst bank I have EVER DEALT WITH. TO MY FELLOW VETERANS PLEASE IF YOU HAVE AN ACCOUNT THERE MOVE YOUR MONEY NOW!!!!!!

FNB are thieves!!!! I guess they are not aware of the laws protecting consumers. They are as bad as the person who broke into my fiance's car and stole his ATM card. My fiance went to the FNB branch he uses (Ashland Ave, Carlisle PA) and reported his ATM card stolen and received a temporary ATM card. Then about 7 hours later FNB allowed someone to drain his bank account because they did not close his account or cancel the stolen card. Not only did FNB reject the "fraudulent activity form" he was given to fill out they charged him over draft fees and sent his account to collections. I can tell you that FNB have not heard the last from me and my fiance, because consumers are protected under federal law. Banks can not allow someone to steal the money they are holding for you, then blame you, their customer. I truly hope that no one ever has to be a another victim of car thieves and FNB again.

I have never been able to get over the shorter hours throughout the week and the shorter hours on Saturday and the fact that they're not open Sunday. The whole reason for going with Commerce language became Metro Bank was because of the hours and the days they were open. Now the hours suck. They also took away the coin counter which was a nice convenience. I guess it cost too much money to run the electric for it.

Ever since the banking fiasco of 2008 I've stopped doing business with any bank. The only reason I had an account with First National Bank (aka Commerce and Metro) was to obtain a safety deposit box and the convient Sunday hours. However, I was surprised with the benefits offered and higher than average CD rates. They blew me away with the life insurance offered for free on my savings account and free safety deposit box upon opening a checking account. The only gripe I have was requiring to have a checking account prior to getting a CD at the special rate. I agree with some of the posts on their need for customer service training. I worked in customer service and half of the staff would be terminated on the spot.

i cannot WAIT to find a new bank and cancel my account with FNB. since metro was bought out, i've dealt with pending transactions piling up and sitting in the activity log for almost TWO WEEKS at a time. pending transactions also do not process in order. they get pushed through at random times. this completely screws me, and my available balance is never trustworthy or accurate. not to mention the hours completely suck. one other issue that ticked me off was receiving a voicemail stating that i HAD to call back immediately about my card, early in the morning. i panicked and called back right away, only to be put on hold and transferred line to line, because no one seemed to know why i got the call. then someone finally got on the line and said they just needed to tell me that i had to switch to the chip before the end of july. you guys really called me and left me a vague, stern voicemail for THAT reason? i thought my card had been stolen. i never had to deal with a more disorganized or unprofessional bank in my life.

Do I have to give a star? Chances are, if you are used to Metro Bank policies, you will justifiably be discouraged by FNB's policies. Here are some of the differences: 1. FNB will cover debit card automatic payments if you do not have the funds available and then charge you $37.00 in ODFs. Metro simply denied payment and didn't charge anything. (If you had payments set up as EFT or ACH, then yes they would charge you and cover it.) 2. FNB charges $2.00 for all non-FNB ATM withdraws in addition to the ATM company's charge. Metro gave the first 4 non-ATM withdraws free each month. 3. FNB does not carry bank card stock so you cannot get a new bank card printed right at your branch. Metro offered this fantastic service to all members. 4. FNB only offers notary services for financial documents related to them. Metro and most other banking institutions offer this to members free of charge, for most documents. 5. Horrible online customer service. I send an online message to FNB yesterday and still have not received a response. Metro sent me a response, no matter how negative my message was, within the hour. _Admittedly Metro Bank has spoiled me in many ways. Some might say.. well my bank has the same policies and they always have, its not really anything to complain about. I beg to differ. As consumers, we have choices, even in banking. Federal Credit Unions are a wonderful alternative to big corporate banks. Their services are better, fees are lower, and their lending rates are lower and more flexible. Metro bank was one of the few "modern" banks that offered modern services like the in branch bank card printing. Convenient right? Farewell Metro Bank you will be missed.... and I won't let the door hit me on the way out of First National Bank that is for sure! Members 1st... thank you for taking me on and securing my loans, my savings account, and my checking account. To hell with those other nickle and dimers.

Horrible. With metro I could keep a low balance and they sent statements. All of a sudden i am being charged for mail statements AND because that caused it to be overdrawn, I just got charged $12.00 overdraft. Then again three days later, and again three days later. The banks don't have helpful hours for someone who works and the phone "support" we not helpful. Am closing the account ASAP

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Horrible customer service. Horrible attitudes and completly unhelpful. Do not get an account or loan through this bank you will regret it!!! Everytime you call they tell you that you arent an authorized user. But they sure as heck take my payments no issue. Once a manager is found THEN I become and authorized user and they are apologetic for the hassle. I would understand this 1 time maybe 2 but we are talking EVERYTIME I call in. So glad my loan isnt through there anymore.

This bank is poop. Metro was great first national sucks, I wish I could give negative stars, they are that bad. Can't say anything that hasn't already been said several times. Use a different bank, any bank, I can't imagine there could be one worse for how they treat the members. And surcharges out the wahzoo even on free ATMs,
