This is a horrific place to bank especially if you are on a fixed income! I am desperately looking for another place to bank at! I am charged so many fees each month- that it is pitiful! This bank has not been able to or has even tried to resolve my issues! I am disabled and on a fixed income and I haven't been able to properly resolve ANY issues that I had here-at First Guaranty Bank since it switched from Union Bank! I am being charged an average of $160/ month for overdraft charges, when I do not possess or use ANY checks for or with this bank at all! No resolution services at all, since I started banking here 3+ years ago! I am on a fixed income and I'm hit hard each month! I can't pay my bills because of this situation here! I would not and do not ever refer anyone to FIRST GUARANTY BANK, especially here with the male staff, AT ALL!
Hi Darren! We pride ourselves on customer service and and we are sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience. Can you please give the Marksville Main branch a call and ask to speak to Mrs. Liz? We'd like to learn more about your experience.

I am looking for another place that I can bank with because this bank has charged me so many NSF fees and returned check fees even when I do not use nor do I have any checked for this bank. Also First Guaranty Bank has started charging an additional monthly fee for having an account here! I believe it is an extra $5/month. I have been being charged fees from all over that add up and the customer service/ resolution department is extremely unhelpful in helping me with any matter! I am on a fixed income because of my disability and I can't afford this type of non-helpful nonsense! The past several months- I have been constantly charged about $160 each month because of fees that the customer service department is unwilling to assist me with. There are also several very rude and bitter male workers that make my banking very hard and embarrassing to deal and bank with. First Guaranty Bank, aka Union Bank here in Marksville created so many difficult problems with my money in the past 2 years, that I s completely ridiculous to do to someone that is disabled and has a fixed income! To this day- I still haven't been assisted on many of the issues! I would not refer anyone at all to First Guaranty Bank here in Marksville, Louisiana!

Horrible services I've been waiting to process a mortgage loan for months. I got pre approved and started sending everything they asked on june 3rd now its August 5th. My realtor and I call n call n message not being able to reach anyone and they wait til friday right before closing to tell you they need more stuff or more paper work or they dont have anything of what you've sent before. Done had to extend my contract twice because of them. Somehow they filed my papers backwards and got everything but underwriting done. I use to like them and refer family/friends to them but not anymore I will not be doing any future business there and sadly neither will my realtor refer his clients there.

I love that since the FGB merger, it's impossible to speak to someone on the phone. "We seem to be experiencing system difficulties" across almost all locations, while 305 N Main lets the phone ring.

Waiting in line at the drive through and not one car has moved for 10 minutes.
Hi Jill. We've had to make quite a few adjustments and have consequently had longer wait times during these unprecedented times. As we slowly get back to "normal" banking practices, we thank you for your continued patience and business.
