I came to this bank with the promise of better help. I have had my money stolen twice. No help and the first time I was told it was my fault bc I am visually impaired! Now I keep getting told they can't help me because something is missing on my card info get this AFTER being at the bank and speaking to someone about it! I am strongly considering taking a large chunk of my money elseware and reporting them to the credit bureaus!

    Response from the owner

Front desk woman named Loraine is condescending and rude. No one deserves to be treated like that. A gentleman walked out after me and told me he was sorry she was so rude, that he thought it was awful. I am looking at new banks as I am now not wanting to step foot inside my own bank out of fear. Think twice before going to this branch or banking with this institution. They hire awful personnel.

    Response from the owner

Lisa – We appreciate you reaching out to us with this concern. We are escalating this to our management team and someone will be back in touch within 1 – 2 business days. Thank you for choosing FCCU for your banking needs.

Second time visiting this place three days ago...the tellers were great, but when I first walked in, I thought I needed an account manager. I had to make two large payments. I had two checks. The tellers couldnt apply them because it was Saturday, and it was a shared branch transaction. The lady in the office was so rude. She wasnt concerned at all about me not being able to apply these payments. I asked her twice to help me. She wouldnt even try. I drove 40 miles to this shared branch. I just wish I had another option. FIRST TIME I VISITED THIS PLACE...I was treated Like a Criminal-Judged by my appearance or last name, or something! I bank at three different banks and two different credit unions. We have multiple homes and vehicles. I get my financing by which institution has the best rates. My credit union is in Austin and I needed a cash advance. I put my name on the list and waited for this little, old white lady to come out and treat me like a criminal. She wasn't nice. She didn't smile. I told her that I needed to pull money out for a purchase on craigslist and that it was my birthday the next day. She just couldn't be nice to me. I called beforehand as well. Whoever I spoke with on the phone was also not very pleasant at all. Why can't people be nice?

Beware of fccu. They sold us a insurance for in case we got hurt. And so happened I did and the insurance was a scam and even after that I told them to cancel they didn't. And I turned in my truck and asked them if it would affect my bank account and they undersold my truck then tried to bleed out bank account to pay for left over. You have been warned. They are ruining our life and they know I was hurt and can't work. Collections lady was so rude and told she wanted her money not bank her money. I plan on a future protest of this bank and if anyone else had same experience tag a comment and I will get with you

    Response from the owner

Kelly, your comments have been received and we have escalated this to the appropriate department to research further. Please send any additional information and your best contact number to [email protected] so we may reach out to you.

I have had an account for about 10 years. Have had problems before but Diana is always willing to see what the problem is and take care of it right away. Very happy with the customer service I have always received.

    Response from the owner

Hi Kathy, we think Diana is great too! So happy to hear your experience has been wonderful with Diana too. Thank you for being a member of FCCU.

Dont get a vehicle loan from this bank. If you want to pay online you have to pay 20$ to do so. Ive had to physically take my payment to the bank every month for 5 years. Big inconvienience! Plus they will put a hold on your account if your 14 days late.

    Response from the owner

Hi Robert - the fee of $20 was removed about 6 months ago. To pay online, it is now a fee of $5. If you pay by phone, the fee is $15. There are multiple other ways to make your payment for free though. Set up payroll deduction with your employer to deposit to your account at FCCU and transfer funds online to your loan. Or, set up auto pay from your primary financial institution or set up Bill Pay from your primary financial institution to pay your loan. These options are free to you. If you must pay by credit/debit card, you would need to go through our web payment portal. Check out the free options I mentioned and learn more here: www.FCCU.org/Payments We appreciate your business with us and hope this helps.
