First Citizens Bank N Main St, Walnut Cove

It does not shock me this branch has a very low review. Just as the last person wrote before me, I feel as if I am a burden and being judged every time I go to this branch. Also, after banking with first citizens for over a year now, depositing checks from the same company, my money keeps getting put on hold. When I confronted the teller about why my money got put on hold, she couldn't give me a justified reason. After doing research, I found out that the tellers can choose to place holds on checks and this is why my money keeps being placed on hold. I have never overdrafted my account nor done anything to be considered a risk. Therefore, I feel the tellers' decisions to place my checks on hold every time, and I mean every time, are solely based on their thoughts of me as an individual, which maybe my tattoos or appearance may not be what they feel is appropriate enough looking to bank with their institution. The way I have been treated, and continue to be treated, is driscriminitory and I hope that not all First Citizen`s banks are the same way. Truly my experience with this branch was awful!

Teller Danielle has an attitude. Just simply asking why my money was put on hold and it never was so from Friday until tomorrow I’ve lirweallt had the inconvenience of moving money from savings just so I can buy anything at all. She made me feel like I was a burden and once she was repeatedly having an attitude with me I was just like alright and she hung up on me. All the other tellers have always been pleasant to speak to.

Go kick yourself in the nuts. It'll feel better than dealing with the people here. Self entitled, small town, brats work at this branch and think they control YOUR money.

Good place to bank. We had no problems whatsoever. Everyone was professional and friendly.

I've been banking with them for many years without issue.
