My experience as a transfer student was great! They gave me maximum amount for grants, and advised me of all my loan options. They always answer the phones quickly and they were always professional. Great job guys keep up the hard work!

The Fresno State Financial office, has been super helpful with their services to me and people I know. If you call it will take some time before you speak to someone but they are always helpful. They also take email and usually respond in 2 business days (holidays takes a bit longer). There are workshops, that start in October and are 3 hours long and answer most if not all questions. They are also patient and really are here to help us. I recommend students to follow their social pages, they post a lot of helpful information on there as well! Thank you for your services FS Financial Aid Team.

I’ve been trying to get a hold of them all summer to get information on my grant and loan status. When I get a hold of them they tell me that I’ll be receiving an email when I either one of them come. A week passes and they had already gone through with my grant without notifying me. School started this week and I’ve been waiting on my loan to purchase my text books and finish paying off the rest of the tuition. When I went to the financial aid office, they told me that I should be receiving it between Wednesday and Friday. It’s 9pm on Friday now and I have yet to receive any information on my loan.

They are really bad about posting and getting your financial aid information in before registering for classes, I’ve had to call them every semester and had to nag them about taking holds off or inquiring about money going through and it’s always been stressful. They are also rude most the time except for the main lady that usually answers, if they answer which I think the minimum wait time I’ve waited is 20 minutes (even when I was first in que?!) yet calling places like the health center they answer and I get an appointment scheduled in less than 5 minutes with a same day appointment? Really seems like a lack of effort to work with the people who pay the bills….

I have been trying to get ahold of this office the past few weeks. I’ve currently been on hold now for over 2 hours now. Whether you call right when they open or anytime of the day, there is apparently always a high volume of calls. I’ve also attempted to reach them via email multiple times with no response back. It truly seems impossible to ever get ahold of anyone that can help. Very unprofessional and beyond frustrating when you just have some questions that need to be answered.

Good luck getting a hold of them. I have emailed and called at different times the day and can not get a hold of them. If you press the option to get a call back it just hangs up on you and you’ll get no call back.

I called at exactly 7:00am, which is when they open. I got a message saying that they were "experiencing a high call volume" and they hung up on me after 2 minutes.

Yes, there are long wait times, but that should be expected when you’re calling the financial aid office. That being said, every time I’ve had to call they are very helpful and even take the time to walk me through step-by-step of what I have to do.

Like always they are not helpful and either give you false information. Also they all sound upset with their job. It’s normally college students working there, they need more experienced individuals.
j
they’re literally impossible to get a hold of. I call multiple times a day because I need assistance and they have super long wait times and give you the option to get a call back but just hang up on you and never call you back!
