    I have a checking account with Fifth Third as that was a REQUIREMENT to get a better mortgage rate. Thus, my mortgage payment has to be withdrawn from that account. My account was overdrawn by $116. and I bear responsibility. On 1/4/21 I made a mobile Deposit. for $3000.00 from The Delta Community Bank. I looked at my Fifth Third account the next day 1/5/21 and I was still showing a minus balance. I went to the bank and met with Sandra Di Pentima. She advised a hold had been put on my account due to the negative balance. She did not say how long the hold would be in effect. She was also messaging ? at Fifth Third while we were discussing all of this. I also made Sandra aware my SS check is also deposited in that account every month. Sandra did reverse the fees. On 1/6/21 I looked at my Delta account and the $3000.00 check had cleared. I sent Sandra an email (1/6/21) and inquired why I was still showing a minus balance. She didn't respond to the email. Yesterday I called and left a vm and again today. She just called and basically she is making it my fault because I had a minus balance. She said she only could do things at a branch level and anything else would need to be escalated. A good bank representative, especially an Officer of the bank, would have escalated this on behalf of their customer. Obviously this was not done. I have had a business checking with Fifth Third for approximately 16-17 years. Needless to say, I will be closing in the near future. I received a letter from Fifth Third on 1/12/21 which was dated 1/4/21 stating the hold on my account would not be released until today 1/13/21. The $3000.00 is now showing in my account in addition to my SS deposit made today. Sandra advised me today via our phone conversation my $3000.00 check could still be returned. I do want to say, the tellers, especially Wendy, has always given great customer service.

    Several weeks ago now I stopped in to process a transaction. Wendy was very helpful. After arriving home I received a TXT from Wendy informing me I left my checkbook on the counter. I hurried back & retrieved my checkbook, thanks to her watchful eye she saved me hours of worry. Thanks much Chuck
