Horrible waste of time. Opened 3 accounts to transfer everything for personal and business on Friday. Turns out Monday I can't use any of the accounts as needed. All of this was discussed up front and they had no solution on how to fix it. After personally spending hours of time getting this and my accounting software setup I now have to go to another bank and start all over again. Will have a lifetime bad review by me and my business.
Aaron, I'm very sorry to hear your experience with our bank was unsatisfactory. We'd hate to lose you as a customer, and are committed to taking the necessary steps to make sure your experience improves in the future. Would you mind giving us a call at 877-833-9973 to discuss? Thanks!

When I logged into my 5th 3rd account, their website trumpeted in large font: “If you’re affected by Hurricane Dorian, Fifth Third is here to help.” I had to evacuate my home and my city due to Hurricane Dorian. During the time I was gone (Sept 3rd and 4th), 5th 3rd was scheduled to make a monthly transfer from my local bank to my 5th 3rd account. This monthly transfer was scheduled for September 4th. I called 5th 3rd on September 3rd and asked to have my monthly transfer canceled for this month because my local bank was closed due to Hurricane Dorian and I had no way to get money into my local bank in time for the next day’s transfer. I explained to the 5th 3rd representative the transfer was more money than I had in my account and I did not want to be overdrawn. The gentleman at 5th 3rd said he could cancel the transaction, but it was going to cost $30 to stop the transfer. Since all of this was happening as a direct result of Hurricane Dorian, I asked if he would consider not charging the $30 fee. He agreed. The next day, I checked my local bank account and I was overdrawn. Turned out 5th 3rd made the monthly transfer anyway. When I called 5th 3rd to ask if something could be done, I spent 12 minutes on hold. Then I was disconnected. I called back. The 5th 3rd representative answered the phone saying, "How can I make your day a 5th 3rd better today?" What a joke!!! A better way to answer the phone would have been, "How can I make you wait on hold, promise you service because you've been impacted by Hurricane Dorian, and then do absolutely none of what I promise today?" I explained the situation. The 5th 3rd rep kept me on hold another 7 minutes while she consulted a "specialist". Since I was now overdrawn in my local bank account, and because 5th 3rd had promised to cancel the transaction that had caused my account to be overdrawn, I had asked if 5th 3rd would reimburse me the $35 I was going to be charged by my local bank (I said nothing about the 47 minutes, total, I had spent on the phone with them) . Finally, the 5th 3rd representative came back and simply said, "No can do." What? Is this the Beverly Hillbilly's or 5th 3rd Bank? How about something professional like, "I'm really sorry for the inconvenience we've caused you Ms. McCabe, but unfortunately, there isn't a way for us to reimburse you for the $35 charge we caused by overdrawing your account (after we promised we would not do that)." Just another bank pretending they care about the customer, but in reality, not giving a rat's posterior. Does anyone do the right thing anymore – even when it might have a negative impact on their “bottom line”?
Hey Kelley, I'm very sorry to hear you had a negative experience. We care and would love to help. Please give us a call at (877) 833-9973. Thanks.

Wouldn't give back my lost ATM card because it wasn't a Fifth Third bank card. Weak sauce.
