DO NOT do business with this credit union. If you do you will regret it. When you need to talk to them, you can't. You will sit on endless hold, get voicemails, never get anything resolved.

They gave me a debt consolidation loan when no one else would. They worked with my bruised credit (I've got to start somewhere to rebuild it). They didn't give quite what I was asking for but, what I was given was reasonable. My only qualm is that the staff seems a bit overwhelmed regarding communications. Be prepared to call/email multiple times if you need to contact them. If you're calling be prepared to be on hold for a while. Besides this (it's not the staff's fault there isn't enough of them for the volume of customers), I have no qualms. I recommend Extra Credit Union!

The only good thing are the loan interest rates, otherwise its a mediocre credit union that LOVES fees and a loan department that takes forever. i've been with them since the WSCU days, but with each name changes, the advantages get less and less.

My experience with Extra credit was amazing from the time I walked in the front door to a great smile and warm atmosphere. All the employees there are nice but it's one that was amazing and I will only go to her from now on and her name is Lisa Stateler she was so genuine and honest and funny a great person that believes in helping people not blowing steam and just telling people what they want to hear but doing thing to make sure your comfortable and well rounded in life and I believed everything she says and that's a hard thing to do nowadays this wonderful woman needs a 100000000 dollar raise just how she handles people's personal life and hardships Thank you Lisa Stateler!!

This bank is racist and I have had problems getting a loan. I have been harrassed by loan officers and asked questions that had nothing to do with a loan. I really want to file a lawsuit against them. Valerie and Connie are the worst and will not help you especially if you are not the right skin color. Please do not open an account with them.

I tried to call the bank you get a lien release for a vehicle being traded in by a customer. The bank had the wrong vin the whole time, making the lien release void. Now I have to jump through hoops for fix YOUR mistake. Once I FINALLY get the paperwork “they are requiring” and fax it to them, I tried to call back and confirm. The phone is answered, and I can hear people talking in the background. They promptly hung up on me, without saying a word to me, because it was near the end of the day and they wanted to be lazy. I WILL BLAST THIS REVIEW ALL OVER AND TELL MY CUSTOMERS TO NOT GO THROUGH YOUR BANK! Customer service and dependability is key!!

This credit union is the worst! I have never been nickel-dimed like at this place. I have direct deposit. Funds in checking but payment made via ach from savings and this place charges nsf fees three times totaling $96 which was taken from the checking not savings. Why wouldn't this credit union move the funds simply from the checking into the savings account?!? No- instead I was charged $96 nsf for a $27 payment. If the credit union was able to take $96 from my checking why didn't it take the $27 from checking satisfying the ACH payment. This credit union has the feel of a bank and I've had it. I am turning off the payroll direct deposit I have going here, closing this account, and moving all my money to my other Credit Union or Chase account. Customer service is zero! Banking service is zero! This credit union is worst than a bank. At other credit unions the funds are moved from savings and checking interchangeably to ensure no nsf especially when either account has cash in it. It doesn't make sense to nsf your customer unless the bank is all about growing their business and not yours. When you have cash in your checking and/or savings and it is nsf for a transaction, CHASE gives you 24 hours to deposit/move funds before NSF fees are charged. If you are thinking about doing business with Extra Credit Union, think again. It has the feel of a bank. It charges monthly fees like a bank. It charges NSF fees without any flexibility like a bank. It's more concerned with growing its business than helping you grow yours. You might as well go to a bank instead of Extra Credit Union. My rating -1 stars. You can do better with your money than going here. I hope that helps you decide the best place to deposit and grow your money.
Hi Markita, Thank you for your feedback. We understand that you are frustrated and that one of our member service representatives has tried to help you over the phone, but what you have been charged is per our policy. We don’t recommend having ACH payments come out of your savings account as, by law, you are only allowed to have six transfers come out of your savings account each month, other than in person. Once this limit has been reached, the ACH will no longer go through and you may incur fees. In addition, unfortunately, you cannot have your overdraft draw to be pulled from your checking to cover your savings. No matter the amount you spent, even if it’s $1, you will still get that $32 fee. In reverse, if you use your checking account to pay for something and there is a shortage, more times than not, members accounts will be set up so that their overdraft will be pulled from their savings account with a $3 fee. If you savings is still short, you can opt in (this must be done ahead of time), to have our courtesy pay cover the shortage for a $32 fee. We know this can be confusing, so if you need more info or clarification, we would be happy to have someone discuss this with you over the phone or in person. Just let us know. We highly recommend using our eBanking platform and/or eBanking App to ensure easy access to your account balance 24/7 so that you are better able to plan for purchases. They need to figure out there defective debit card situation. My first debit cards chip kept falling off and when I did get it back on it wouldnt read at any stores and was unusable. I thaught ok things happen and called to have a new one mailed to me since I couldnt pick it up I just had surgery. After a week and a half I got my new debit card and my husband took it to buy groceries and after 2 days the chip wont read on any machine in any store and it wouldnt work to slide it either. It was properly activated and worked for 2 days now its defective. He had to walk out of the store leaving 150 bucks in grocerys behind because this was our only means to pay for it. Funds were there at the time this happened. So now I have to order a 3rd debit card!!! This is getting ridiculous. Ive only been a member for a few months and Im getting turned off by the inconvienience! I use my debit for everything ... now were stuck once again...
