THIEVES!!!! My car was paid off by insurance claim and they had to refund my payment that I had already made, and then added "fees" after the car was paid off and stole MY money that they should have never charged me for because they had already settled on the set price!!!! THIEVES!!!!

STAY AWAY!! Terrible customer service. Try to call in payments during their business hours, their phones go to voicemail saying closed. Finally get a person, flat out nasty and try to rush you off the phone. Don’t give confirmation numbers, balance, or and other information unless pressed. They act like they don’t know and you are inconveniencing them by asking. By far the WORST customer service!!

Exeter repoed my car Monday and it was at the auction on Wednesday when i called to make the payment! They did not give sufficient time before they sent my car to auction! I am going to pay my car off in full next month and never do business with them again!!!

I paid off what I owed roughly a year ago and yet they negatively effected my credit claiming I never paid it off

They refuse to work with you. They will not refinance you. They called me 2 weeks after I traded the car I had thru them asking for payment saying it was late. They had no idea that it was already sold and gone. They are a piss poor company. Their intrest was 25%. My new was 5%. Do not use them.

I had a car loan through them 6 years ago. They are thee worst to work with. They refuse to help you. I was trying to clean up my credit and this was the only negative account due to my car was stolen and took the insurance company forever to pay them. So it was either keep making payments on a car I don’t have or use that money to get a new car. So I had two months of negative marks. They could care less. I’ve been trying to call I wrote two letters and no response. I would not recommend them to the devil. Please safe you self the trouble and try somewhere else.

Double charged me even after paying early and drained my bank account, now im stuck in the middle of nowhere with no food or gas in my tank because i paid my car payment early. Thats what youre signing up for with exeter, go to literally any other lender if possible. Supposedly going to take 15 days to get refunded hopefully make it to see that money back in my account wish me luck.

If I could give Exeter Finance ZERO stars I definitely would I totally agree with all the other bad reviews I have read. Exeter Finance are very inconsiderate unprofessional money hungry corporation who doesn’t work with their customers. Exeter Finance is very quick to repo your vehicle even with the pandemic going on in the world. I would definitely NOT recommend Exeter Finance to go through as far as financing an auto loan. Exeter Finance is bad choice to do business with. Exeter Finance CAN NOT BE TRUSTED if you ever came into hard times!!!! And it’s very sad with what’s going on in the world as far as the pandemic.

My experience over the last 4 years with this company has been overwhelmingly bad. I can't wait to pay off my vehicle and never do business with this company again. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Very unfair and misleading practices, fee assessed and applied wrongfully. This is the worst company I've ever done business with. I was trying to support a friend that worked at a small car dealership and they worked with Exeter. It's really true that "no good deed go unpunished" I thourougly regret doing so now. -Unfair, Discriminatory practices, thief, misleading are some words I can use to describe my experience with this company.

Working with this company was an absolute nightmare. I was finally able to refinance with my credit union but needed to obtain a release of lien from Exeter. I called twice and they said they would fax it over to me directly. After I never received it I called a third time and got transferred to a ‘managers’ voicemail. I called back AGAIN to speak directly to a manager who told me they were only able to send it to my new lender which was never explained to me when I first called so my time was wasted. My credit union stated that this was incorrect and that it should have been sent to me directly. The customer service was horrible as I was never provided with a resolution. I would never recommend this company to anyone and am glad I no longer have to deal with such poor service.
