I worked with Ben Mure on my VA refinance. He was amazing from start to finish and kept me and my wife updated throughout the entire process. Showed a lot of integrity and got my loan closed within 2 weeks! I will definitely recommend Ben and Emortgage Funding to family and friends! Thank you again Ben

I began working with Alvin just as the COVID-19 shelter in place began and was a little hesitant about working with a company I had never heard of before. He definitely understood and shared all his information with me (MLS info, company info, etc.) and I researched ALL of it! He made me feel comfortable and explained things as the process continued during this challenging time. He locked me into a great rate and for a fixed term (previously I was at adjustable and he saved me 2% interest...AND DEBT FREE!) Alvin is very knowledgeable, funny and made me feel good about my decision all along the way! If you're looking for a partner who really wants to help you, Alvin is your guy!
Paula - thanks for the great review! We enjoyed working with you!

Great service and hardworking employees who genuinely want to help their clients! Chris Thomas especially was wonderful to work with. We were first-time home buyers who closed in less than 30 days while living in another state. Chris was there to help no matter what day/time we had questions and we had a lot of them... Highly recommend for your mortgage needs!!
Alana, thank you for taking a moment to leave a great review. We will be her for you in the future if there is anything you need, until then, enjoy your new home!

A lot of wasted time and broken promises. This has went on for 2 months . Had closing dates. And just keep me running in circles. Would not recommend very disappointed.

Our refi went smoothly and quickly. Cody was SO helpful in guiding us through the process and keeping communication open. Great experience!

I was recommended Christopher Thomas from a relative and after reading reviews I decided he would be a great loan officer to go with when buying my first home. Everything started out well but after viewing a few homes I noticed the communication with Chris was inconsistent and then non existent as we went further down the road. I thought about changing mortgage officers multiple times in the process but decided to stick it out as I had found a home I wanted and already started the process. There would be days at a time (5-6) days when I would not get a response from him. I would call, text, email. This is two weeks before closing. He was not available to answer simple questions a new homebuyer would have such as “can you break down expected closing costs?” Or “what do I need to bring day of closing and what is the amount I need”. I ended up having to involve a separate mortgage officer and he contacted Chris to assist him in doing his job. I was at my wits end. If that wasn’t enough, I never received an apology for this, instead he lied about communication and tried to pretend everything was fine. To the knowledge of my realtor and I, closing was to proceed today as planned. In the morning at 9:30 am after not replying for 2 DAYS of messages, he sends a group email saying my gift letter wasn’t accepted due to it not being from a blood relative or spouse (something he should have known and informed me 5 days ago when I submitted the form). That being said, he said I would need to come up with 2k to close, and that some of the bank paperwork and transactions were incorrect (also submitted to him 5 days ago, I asked him to look over them). He also stated that closing costs were an additional $500 on top of the previous number he had quoted me. I was thankfully able to get a gift letter from a relative THE MORNING OF CLOSING otherwise closing would not have happened. His basic communication and people skills are nonexistent and he simply can and does not do his job. I could go on and on with details but the basic gist of it is this: Chris either has the lack of knowledge or simply doesn’t care about his job. He only does half effort with everything he does, if he does it at all. I wish with all I have that I didn’t have to give him a penny out of my pocket, but the deal is now closed with no help from him. My agent was able to get us to close and Chris being so clueless texted in the middle of it saying “you can probably close Tuesday or after” when he was well aware I needed to be out of my apartment by Monday. He was out of the loop, uneducated, rude, and overall one of the worst people I have ever had to work with. If you want someone who cares for his customers and will help you learn about mortgages and the ins and outs of buying a new home, he is not your guy. I truly hope this is a one time horrible experience he has given a client but I have a feeling it isn’t. I hope if you’ve taken the time to read this you don’t recommend Christopher Thomas to any young homebuyers, or truly anyone in general.
Hi Aubrey, sad to hear this was your experience working with us. Unfortunately when you are relying on seller concessions of 7k for all closing costs to be covered and an appraisal comes short, we no longer have seller concessions to cover the closing costs and we have to find another way to ensure the transaction closes. We took action by arguing the appraisal behind the scenes to increase the appraised value by 2k so we could help you with closing costs as much as possible. A short appraisal and the need for concessions due to lack of reserves/savings are beyond our control. Regardless, we appreciate the honest review, have learned from this experience, and work to serve our clients better in the future! We hope you enjoy your awesome new home - we were so glad even though the appraisal fell short we were still able to close and complete the transaction! Thanks!

Would never use this company. They cold call day and night. Refuse to remove me from their calling list. Need a refi? Use another company. Plenty of other reputable company's out there.

Jesse was our loan officer and she was great. If we had any questions she either had an answer or got the answer for us. She kept us informed along the way as to what was going on. We heard from her either everyday or every other day. Really easy to refinance our loan.
Sharon - thank you so much for the five star review!

This company helped my family and me get into our dream home quickly, efficiently, and cheaply. Communication was great, service was awesome, and results were even better. Couldn't recommend the company any higher, with a special shoutout to our loan originator, Christopher Thomas. I don't plan on moving anytime soon, but if/when I do, I'll be calling Chris at eMortgage.
Dustyn, thank you for taking a moment to leave a great review! We appreciate your business! Best wishes in your new home.

Christopher was able to get us the best rate and the lowest closing costs on the market, he managed to keep our schedule on track even when the seller delayed the inspection period by one week. Christopher stayed organized and focused on sealing the deal. A honest, transparent team player that went above and beyond for US... a great resource to have on your mortgage team.
James, thanks for the positive review! Let us know if there is anything you need in the future!
