    2 bad experience with this bank (The Newman Rd. location) Sold my 2010 pickup truck for $$$$$ They gave me a deposit slip for $$..Good thing I was paying attention to the receipt because obviously the bank teller wasn't. (The Sturtevant location) Made a $400 cash deposit the machine started spitting the cash back out at me was able to catch $340 it took $60 and still got a recipe for $400. Receive a phone call from educators a week later saying they audited the machine and looked at the camera and I did not deposit the $400 but only $340 and this was verified with the bank manager. Yes I argued this to the fullest. Received a call back hour later. After farther review with the accounting and camera you did deposit the $ 400... So to make a long story short.They straight up lied... Scratch a lie find a thief.

    This morning I did the "live chat" and talked to Doug (who was very pleasant and helpful). I asked if it were possible to get some temporary/counter checks and he said I should just go in the first lane and I can request them there. I waited 20 minutes in line and then another 10 minutes at the kiosk while my teller Jessica (who was also vpleasant) checked on a couple things for me. When she returned she said her manager stated I would not be able to get any checks since I don't have any on order. I recently misplaced my checkbook and I needed some to cover a couple bills, I even asked if I could pay for them and was told "the manager said no". I should have gotten the managers name but I had to get back to work and didn't have any more time to waste. I have a decent savings account at ECU and after this experience I will be taking it elsewhere. **UPDATE** I went to another ECU location and they were able to help me out with the checks no problem. I will avoid the one in Sturtevant from here on out because they obviously don't care about the customers.

    What an amazing institution...it's everything you'd want in a bank. Amazingly friendly staff, great rates and services, low fees, and they invest back into the community!

    Went to cash a check on a Thursday at 4pm and all of the outside teller lanes are closed, so I have to go inside. This is double painful because I wanted a $100 bill and you can only get them outside not inside. When I get inside there are 4 teller machines (NOT A FACE TO FACE PERSON) two are being used and two are not. I click start but all tellers are busy so I wait. The customer to my left leaves and I continue to wait. I pull up a chair because I continue to wait, and a lady walks up to a different teller machine and her transaction starts right away while I continue to wait. When I finally get waited on, the teller says I need to wait while she investigates this check. I cash the same check for the same amount every month. My face, my ID, everything is all on file already but now we need to investigate the check. Maybe the teller machines are the reason for the impersonal service, but I find it down right rude. And don't get me started on the 3 phone calls required to get a new card and set a pin and verify that I actually want to set a pin over the course of the two weeks it took to get a functional replacement card.

    I was very impressed with my last visit as opposed to my earlier experience, wanted a replacement card and was surprised how fast I went in and out. The greeter was very helpful and instead of sending me to a banker, she printed my debit card right away. I see the bank heading in a right direction in-terms of customer friendliness.

    Educators Credit Union's gave me the best car buying experience ever! I decided I wanted to lease a new vehicle and narrowed it down to 3 options. I was pre-approved quickly by Jamie at Educators Credit Union and she provided names of people to work with at the dealerships who had the cars I was interested in. She also noticed that we had enough Points for Perks from our credit card to qualify for a discounted interest rate. Dealerships: No haggle pricing, a specific contact person, and no hours-long sitting with the dealer finance people. I spent about 20 - 30 minutes at each dealership, most of that time on the test drive. The dealer salespeople sent the invoice to Jamie and she quickly emailed me the lease payments. When I made the decision to purchase a CRV from Honda Racine, the car was delivered to Educators Sturtevant branch when we signed the lease paperwork. This was by far the easiest and most pleasant new car buying experience I've ever been part of! It's usually really time-consuming and frustrating. Thank you Jamie and Educators Credit Union for making this experience awesome!

    This is by far the best ECU that I have ever stepped foot in. From the moment I entered the door the young lady at the front desk greeted me kindly. She also answered all of my questions even going so far as to get another employee if she was unsure of the answer. Then my loan specialist, Juanita, was AMAZING. She gave me every deal she possibly could and even introduced me to the member perks, that I didn't know existed, which got me a full 1% APR off of my loan. I am so happy to have gone to this ECU and would recommend it to anyone.

    This bank is garbage. I seldomly used this bank since i only had it for loan rates. When my name changes after marriage (which is my fault) i went in and they sent me a new card no charge. A few months later, my card was stolen aftwr someone jacked my whole wallet out of my purse (which is not my fault), so i call the bank and they want to charge me $10 for a new card since "they have to pay for cards". So right there i said forget it i dont want the account anymore dont send me the card. They still withdrew the $10 from account and did NOT send me a new card. Went in and complained about and closed my accounts. Where i was then ushered to an area where i had to talk to a person thru a computer screen and have my money dispensed like i was at a self checkout in the grocery store. This bank and its customer service sucks!

    I went to the Newman Rd. location for years and was treated rudely with their call center atmosphere bankers have headsets on and answer calls instead of taking care of people that walk in. This branch was very helpful and took the time to help me with a loan in person without extensively waiting for people who call in. Caley was a huge help, she was professional and the manager Paul was very good to me as well.

    Customer service from the call center is terrible and not capable or authorized to assist with much of anything. Hence they don't actually provide help to customers. Lip service and hollow apologies don't get things accomplished and is meaningless when you aren't doing anything for the customer that is calling with an issue. If you want to waste your time sitting on the phone and get really angry give them a call! Or spare yourself the trouble and just do business with a better CU.
