Best CD rates in the country as of 5/11/2022. A 48 month at more than 3% is unheard of nowadays. AND they give 10 days after you open to add more money if you'd like to. I challenge anyone to find better. Whenever I call them they're prompt and very helpful in assisting me! Never had a problem. Highly recommend!

Dealt with a customer service representative named Precious, she was super rude and very unhelpful. I've had these issues every time I call this branch. They are always super complicated and Definitely the worse out of all the banks that I have to deal with. Will be changing branches and transferring my mortgage soon.

Horrible experience so far trying to get a membership that is REQUIRED for my mortgage refinance. My closing has already been delayed due to this. There is absolutely no reason anyone should have to apply for membership separately from the loan process itself. It should be included in the mortgage application without separate action.

Applied for an account on Monday, it’s now late Friday afternoon. I was told three separate times that someone would call but no calls ever came. They gather all your personal information during the application process then never call to finalize it. I’m guessing that they will sell my info to telemarketing firms. Avoid this credit union. They need to be put out of business.

Delayed follow-up customer service inquiry response. Unhelpful, would not honor CD rate posted at the time application was in process. Rates change daily.

Do not recommend this credit union. Not because of service related issues but because of their operating policies. They have the most inconvenient and seemingly unethical banking procedures. You can't go into a branch and cash a check, they will always place a 7 day hold on your checks no matter what. They have two branches in the Washington, DC area which are currently both closed (indefinitely) and their ATMs only take envelope deposits. Not to mention they close at 3pm. Their app is very confusing in terms of displaying your available balance and what's available to spend (which is apparently different). Again everyone I've had contact with is very kind and pleasant the credit union itself just isn't very "member oriented" .

DO NOT recommend! VERY VERY inefficient! Every time we update or submit our mortgage documents, it took at lease one week to get response, never to say they need tons of documents. NEVER EVER do loans with DCFCU! VERY bad experience EVER!

I have visited this location on a few occasions and have had absolutely no issues. I started banking here many years ago but never really used the account until one year I had fraud on a Wells Fargo account and decided to see what DOCFU had to offer and it has been nothing but great interactions. Good rates, good account selections, Great online banking system & App (on par with the big banks) and their customer service has been good. I'm surprised that I seen some bad reviews on here but things do happen (although the overdraft review was dumb which prompted me to write my experience). I still bank with many banks but DOCFU remains one of my favorites.

I was impressed by the quality service I got from the credit union. I was working with them on an auto loan, and my bankers were incredibly fast and helpful, remembered me when I called later (apparently they remembered my cell phone number) and exactly where we were in the process, and made everything fast and simple. Their customer service line is staffed by professionals who can accomplish a lot themselves without redirecting you to anyone else (seems like they have a full "banker" staffing that line), and they're friendly. I also got a great rate on the auto loan -- great experience.

I see a lot of reviews about bad customer service, so I want to tell of a positive experience. In dealing with two different branches of DOCFCU (Silver Spring and DOC Main) on back-to-back days regarding a tricky financial situation involving transfers of money, the staff at both locations were very polite and went above and beyond in helping me address my issue. The manager also offered her contact info in case I encountered a problem.
