Worst experience I've had with any financial institution. When I first opened my account, they misplaced my insurance information and then allocated my payment to insurance they purchased on my behalf. This impacted my credit score. Recently, I've been trying to make a payment over the phone, and they cannot take payment. They calso can't even send me an email documenting that I tried to make a payment. It's ridiculous. Definitely take your business elsewhere. These guys are not worth the headache.
Nick, we are escalating this to a manager to look into your situation and make sure your account is exactly how you want it setup. A headache is the last thing we want, so thanks for sharing your experience so we can try and fix it!

I make my auto loan payment faithfully with Credit Union of the Rockies, like I did in April. I received a confirmation email that the payment was processed and I moved on with my day. Two months later, my credit score dropped significantly. When I logged in to my credit monitoring app, it told me that Credit Union of the Rockies had reported a late payment to my account. I called them in a panic, as I had not heard anything from them as to a late payment. They told me my payment had been returned, so they reported it to my credit. I then had to get proof from my main financial institution as to the validity of the charge. When I supplied Credit Union of the Rockies with said proof that they payment was made, they said they made a mistake and would take it off my credit history. At that point, the damage had already been done. Today I tried to call to make my July payment and I was told that my June payment had been "returned", like my April payment had allegedly been "returned". Now I'm spending my afternoon on the phone with my preferred bank, again tracking down the charges to prove that Credit Union of the Rockies is a disorganized and mismanaged business. Beware of this credit union. They will destroy your credit even if you do everything right, and they will try take your payment twice if you don't think twice about it.

Fast, friendly and efficient. Not sure of the clerk name, but bearded with glasses. :)

I recently applied for a personal loan at Credit Union of the Rockies in Frisco, CO. I was completely satisfied working with Bea and Justin as they were professional, friendly and courteous. They were able to get me approved for the exact amount I requested. If I ever need another loan I will certainly be headed back here. Thank you very much Bea and Justin!
Thank you for sharing this experience with us! :-)

Borrower beware! I took out a loan using my vehicle as collateral. I provided my insurance information at the time I was approved for the loan. I received a call in November 2020 stating that they had no insurance information on file. I provided it again and connected the credit union with my insurance directly. They informed me in November 2020 that they now had the information they needed. I recently received a call stating that my loan was delinquent because they had been applying my monthly payments to an insurance policy they took out on my behalf rather than to the principal/interest of my loan. I just sent my insurance info for a third time. This has impacted my credit and will take hours to untangle and repair.
Can you email us at [email protected]. We can make sure your credit wasn't impacted and that our new team over this process at the credit union fixes your situation to your expectations.

Worst credit union ever. Both cards were declined at the grocery store last night for zero reason (plenty of money in both accounts, no email from them about fraud or anything) and no way to get a hold of them bc it was outside business hours. I spent 45 minutes in literally the busiest City Market in the country getting groceries for my family only to be completely embarrassed as my cards were declined. This was the last straw after years of difficulty and terrible customer service on their part.
We're converting away form our (agreed) painstakingly difficult cards vendor. But that shouldn't matter, it's our problem and we weren't there when you needed us, Rob. I've messaged you personally to see if we can make this right...

I’ve been bank with CUoR for almost five years, had zero issues until today when I tried to get my member number. They ask me to verify a specific amount that had been deposited into my account off of recall. I guessed how much I had deposited from my last check which I guarantee was close to the number but wasn’t the exact number. So now instead of a task that could be easily taken care of in seconds I now have to hike my way back to the bank to receive the information in person. They’re needs to be an easier way of verifying my identity so I can make basic changes to my account. It’s irritated me so much I will be closing my account today instead of getting my member number to access my the stupid app on my phone. 1st bank seems like a much a easier option for a place to save my money with.
Grant, we seemed to miss the mark with our account verification process. Thank you for the review - it was used to help us calibrate this process going forward. Sorry it led to this :(

I have been a member for seven years. CURockies has been a wonderful experience for me. They have written two car loans for me, as well as checking, savings and my credit card. Amazingly, it is always a pleasant and personalized exchange to visit the lobby for my banking needs. Many thanks to Justin, Bea , Jessie and all members of the team!

I can not thank Credit Union of the Rockies enough for their assistance with my financial situation. They provided a solution and were able to complete a loan within a week of my request. They helped me solve all of my problems without killing me with fees/interest. Peter at the Credit Union of the Rockies was professional, efficient, and sympathetic to my situation. This is the reason I have been banking with them for over 18 years.
Stacy, thank you for the kind review! Peter was all riled up (in a good way) the day he helped you. Being able to roll up our sleeves up and help a member in need is what we try and do every day. Thank you so much for sharing your experience!

worst. customer. service. ever. applied for an loan for a motorcycle(7/30). got approved(8/4) after reaching out to them multiple times without a response. after some complications I wanted it switched to a personal loan. I was told that they had to have it reviewed by upper management for (another) approval.(8/5). got the "run around" for 6 days and AFTER calling the main branch and leaving messages, I finally got approved AGAIN!(8/11). Then, after they needed more stuff from me and my cosigner, I didn't hear anything from anyone so I got another loan else where and had my bike in 3 days. the most painful bank experience I've ever encountered and still haven't heard from them after over a week, eventhough I'd be informing them I went elsewhere for my loan.
Gabriel - message received. We've addressed this with the staff members you were working with after we got your Facebook message. Important information to share with us. We dissected this loan and where we could have improved your experience. Those reasons could be displayed here but they're really just excuses at the end of the day. Sorry we missed the opportunity to finance your Harley.
