I use this Co-OP branch to do transactions with my account at another credit union as their branch is not locally convenient. Staff is always courteous and efficient in serving non-members.
Thank you for your feedback, Todd. We are glad to hear that your experiences with CU SoCal are exceptional. We look forward to serving you when you visit next.

Do not open accounts or transactions here they judge you based on your look, ethnicity, or whatever they saw wrong with me. I have an arrowhead credit union account and came in here to make a deposit. I didn't have my id but I was depositing cash 4k (money from fixing a house foundation). The gentleman, Johnathan, was helpful and polite. He asked several security questions. But when I said the amount, gabby who was with assisting another member, said to Johnathan she was listening and then told me that they cannot make the deposit without an id. She also said it's not their policy but Co-OP Shared policy. I called a Co-OP financial services manager and to ask if it is true and was told that they do not have that policy. I did tell them I didn't need to know the balance since I have online banking but something about me made Gabby want to reject my deposit. She probably wouldve allowed my deposit if I was wearing a suit, had lighter skin, or other reasons......(Responding to your response. Once again I called the Co-OP manager I was told only on certain transactions but do not require for deposits, so your defense is offensive and clearly shows that you believe we are idiots. I have high balances in my account so there was nothing to be suspicious about.)
Thank you for taking time to let us know your concerns, Alejandro. CU SoCal is committed to ensuring that all visitors are treated with respect and dignity at all times and are never served differently due to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, ancestry, appearance, or any personal or physical characteristics. Among other security measures, CO-OP’s shared branching policy requires that all CO-OP shared branch locations obtain a government-issued ID from all shared branch Members before any transactions can be made. These policies have been put in place in order to protect all CO-OP shared branch Members from possible fraud and security issues. Policies have become more stringent in recent years as fraud issues have increased. If you are willing, our VP of Branch Services would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you personally regarding your experience. Please feel free to give us a call at 866.287.6225. Thank you again for following back up, Alejandro. We are actively reaching out to our CO-OP representative regarding this issue to ensure we are up-to-date and properly complying with the CO-OP’s policies and procedures. If you are able to share the name and contact number for the CO-OP representative you spoke with, we would be glad to reach out to them directly to gain clarification. As of today, we are currently following CO-OP’s Shared Branch Operating Rules and Regulations Version 2.0 which was issued on November 28, 2018. In it, Exhibit A, Section II, Policy A details that “All Guest Members must present valid identification. Acceptable forms of identification include: Valid State-Issued Driver’s License – U.S. and Canada; Undocumented Federally Restricted Driver’s Licenses; Valid State-Issued Identification Card – U.S. and Canada; Valid Passport, U.S. or foreign country if authenticity can be verified; Valid Permanent Resident Card or Resident Alien Card; Valid United States Military ID; Valid Matricula Consular ID card.” Again, we appreciate your feedback and additional follow-up. If you are willing, our VP of Branch Services would still very much appreciate the opportunity to speak with you personally regarding your experience and can be reached at 866.287.6225 Monday–Friday 9 a.m.–6 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
