Had a great experience on a getting a mortgage for my new house in VA through Nextmark CU and CUMA. Jennifer was my loan officer and Juan was my processor and both were great. They were able to hit my 30 day close.

    Response from the owner

Thanks for the great review, glad our Team was able to help!! Please let me know if we can assist in the future.

This place is a nightmare. I had better experiences at Mortgage Possible and Quicken Loans. Kim sounds like she just started there or needs a little more training. Joe the receptionist answers the phone without a proper greeting. Who’s running this place? I’m glad they made a lousy impression sooner rather than later into the contract. …… I received a follow up call from Robert, Kim’s supervisor, who didn’t ask me one question to address yesterday’s issues. He got on the phone and started rambling about the business and how their calls aren’t recorded. I eventually said thanks but I’m no longer interested. They need new management because their service stinks. Please do better.

    Response from the owner

Good afternoon, I am the CEO and would like to learn more of your issues, something does not sound right! Kim is a very experienced loan officer and normally gets great reviews, and we do not have a receptionist named Joe. You can email me at [email protected]. Thanks.

Eric Howard Goldberg was a constellation of racism and unprofessionalism. Nothing shy of a scam. Don't waste time on this the so-called entrapping low rates.

    Response from the owner

I am the CEO of CUMA, thank you for letting me know that we fell short of meeting your expectations! This is highly out of character for Eric, he's been with us for 5+ years and always receives outstanding reviews. I will be speaking with him shortly, but in the meantime please feel free to email me at [email protected] and I will get you in touch with another loan officer. Thank you.

I had a superb experience using this company for my cash out refinance mortgage loan. The communication and professionalism was top notch from the beginning to signing the loan documents. Leticia Pérez was extremely helpful throughout the process and helping me understand everything; she is one of the most professional and effective individuals I have dealt with. I highly recommend using them. I’m now able to do the renovations for my condo. :)

    Response from the owner

Thanks for your 5 star rating Antonio!

I had a great experience with this company when shopping for a mortgage. Eric Goldberg helped me throughout the process. He was very responsive and kept me up to date. I really felt that he cared about trying to get me the best deal he was able to manage and that wasn't the feeling I had gotten from other lenders. Definitely recommend!

    Response from the owner

Thanks John, appreciate the kind words about our Team!

I had a great experience with the team at CU Mortgage in having them Refi and now service my mortgage. It's the third month of them servicing my mortgage and I couldn't be happier to be with an institution that offers great rates, provided flexibility (with an existing HELOC) and is a local Co. that will not sell my note to another institution. This morning I was signing into my account and saw the low stars, I wanted to offer a counterpoint to what I assume are unsophisticated persons regarding finance.

    Response from the owner

    Thank you Lee, much appreciated!

If I could provide zero stars, I would. This is the worst refinance loan process I have experienced. I was unaware that Agriculture Federal Credit Union used a third party to process home loans. Interested in the loan since the interest rate was low, I initially applied. Three weeks went by (May 2019) and no one contacted me with the status of the loan. I will admit, I made some mistakes through the process. As of today, I still haven't closed on the loan. It appears that I am asked for additional paperwork everyday. Run for the hills. If you are interested in a home loan from Agriculture Federal Credit, you will have to provide your life history. This process is ridiculous.

    Response from the owner

Thanks for your message. It is unfortunate that the mortgage process has become so complicated over the years but we, like all lenders, are just following secondary market guidelines! However, even with all you went through and your "mistakes" that you mention, we were still able to close your loan in less than 60 days!

"AMC Credit Union Mortgage Association."  They originally told me all i needed was 5% down plus closing costs.  Then they email me weeks later and tell me they need more.  So i offer 10k. Plus closing costs which puts total payment at 19,500.  Then they email me two days later and say that my home insurance premium of 1,000 put my debt to income percentage too low so i need to put down an additional 3000.  (How does that make sense?) yup, close to 10k for closing costs for a 115k home. Mind you my credit score is 793. At this point closing was suppose to be march 17th, and i have set up the home insurance, and utilities.  Ive also payed close to 3000 out of pocket for a home inspection, escrow fees and this banks bulls!*t! Now i have to find another bank and hope current homeowners hang on with me. Dont put yourself through what ive been through. How is this even legal?!

    Response from the owner

I am so sorry for your frustrations, but unfortunately we are just following secondary market guidelines and mortgage lending is more complicated than ever before! Please email me at [email protected], I would welcome the opportunity to talk. Thanks

This is the worst company. Specifically Mr. Griffin Canada. He lacks professionalism, incompetent, and RUDE. I was pre approved for a home mortgage loan. Now approximately 2 weeks later I was informed that I no longer qualify. Mr. Canada missed vital information. He didn’t apologize for his error. In addition, lack of effective communication. This is unacceptable as I’ve started the process to sell my home. Mr. Canada didn’t apologize for his mistake and was quite rude as well as incompetent. I wouldn’t recommend this company zero stars. 5/15/21-Response- it is irresponsible of you to ASSUME. Without knowing the facts. I stand by my review.

    Response from the owner

Sorry to hear, this is very surprising as Griffin is one of our top loan officers. Something must have changed after application because he normally does miss anything!

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Griffin Canada VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. As a consumer or a customer you try to work hard with them to get all things required to proceed with working with them on an auto loan as an extension to your Credit Union. Only to end up being treated like an imbecile. NO THANKS I’ll take my MONEY and MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!! My Credit Unions loss due to THEIR FAILURE OF COMPOSURE. CONSUMER BEWARE!

    Response from the owner

Ms. Sunshine, could you please email me at [email protected], there MUST be some mistake as we are a mortgage company and do NOT even do auto loans!!! Thank you
