Got a return fee for something that was not even taken out of my accounts also opted out of over-drafting and had overdraft protection. It rejected a request for payment and still charged me a 32 dollar return fee. For what?? Been with them for over 3 years and had never had this happen before when I requested that it be waived they declined because it wasn’t a “bank error”. Terrible customer service steer clear and avoid losing your money for no reason.

Even though we moved away from the Moberly area, County Bank was still the right choice for our new home loan. The bank was able to ensure everything was in line and made closing day quick and easy. The bank’s checking and savings account features continue to benefit our family from miles away.

Got a returned check fee for the first time and I asked to have it refunded due to an error on how their outdated website works and they refused. When I asked if it was worth losing a customer over, they said “thats up to you”. After leaving negative feedback on the banks facebook page, the banks vice president called and said he would look into it becuase they dont like negative reviews, he asked what it would take to fix my review, I said that I simply wanted my money back and he said “I cant do that”. Central Bank of Moberly on the other hand offers one free returned check/overdraft fee each year with no questions asked. If you care about your money, go to CENTRAL BANK and avoid this bank at all costs!

My fiancé and I went into County Bank to ask about options as far as their loan products. When we walked in, two tellers greeted us and were very nice. When we told them we were wanting to speak to someone about a loan, they looked out at a man standing, joking around with a brunette girl sitting at a desk. The brunette said, “that’s you Matt.” Some words were exchanged along the lines of him not wanting to do it and he needed to train her anyways. After she said she wasn’t trained so he had to do it, he laughed and kept joking with her. I believe the tellers noticed how irritated I was becoming and politely said we could have a seat, someone would be with us shortly and asked if we wanted something to drink. I appreciate the kindness of the two tellers because that is the only thing that kept me in that bank to even hear what the man had to say. When he finally decided to speak to us, I explained to him I had a loan there previously, told him my credit score and explained it was recently pulled so I knew how high it was. Not only did he say “well, if your credit score is what you say it is, not saying I don’t believe you...” I continued to feel like he wasn’t interested in gaining us as customers since my primary checking account wasn’t currently there. He even referred us to a different bank instead of taking the chance to gain new accounts. I’ve worked in the banking industry for several years and I am absolutely appalled at how we were treated. Especially being told to go somewhere else “because they rarely do the type of loan I had before” to which I responded “well I guess I was special” followed by my current credit score and annual income to explain why I was even more qualified now. I was so angry when I left I was shaking. I have never been treated so poorly at a financial establishment. We felt as though he were speaking to us like uneducated street rats. In all actuality, I’m not even certain he knew what he was doing because of his confusion and level of professionalism. I think the worst part of it all is after I left the bank fuming, I found out I may have been speaking with the owner’s son. I hope this review is used as a training opportunity because the manner in which we were treated was completely unacceptable. It’s one thing to say you can’t offer me a product. It’s another to be blatantly disrespectful from the moment you find out we inconvenienced you to have to do your job to the point we only stayed to speak to you because your tellers were so nice.

Visited this bank today with a friend. As we sat in the drive through for "10mins!!" That we timed without being acknowledged by any staff member just waiting to cash his check. Finally a lady walked over and began to wait on us without a "smile or sorry for the wait" it was how can I help you. Hey management train your staff and look over the business. There are several other banks in moberly please compare.
