I called to cancel because nothing was being done for me. Creditors still calling, emailing, sending regular mail. I called several times and the phone would just disconnect before I even got a representative. When I did finally get through I was told the computer was very slow. Then it froze. Then the representative asked for my phone number and told me there was no account info connected to my number. Somehow she finally gets the account pulled up. I tell her I want to cancel. The computer freezes again. She asks why I want to cancel. I tell her because they’re just taking my money and not doing anything for me. She says it takes 30 to 50 days to see results. At this point it’s almost been 3 months so.. we’re past the point where I should have been seeing results. All I’m getting is stressed. When the computer finally unfreezes she has the audacity to tell me that I didn’t make my last payment. Not true. The payment had very clearly been auto drafted from my bank account. She tells me that it has been canceled and gets rude with me when I ask to make sure the next payment will not be auto drafted from my account. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, you will get nothing but disappointment and more stress.

Consumer Education Services Inc was honestly the best decision I have made to get rid of my debt hassle free. With having about 40K worth of debt, it would have taken me years to pay off my debt especially with the high interest rates that the credit card companies had, compared to what CESI helped me get. The customer service was phenomenal and accommodating every phone I ever made. I never waited more than 3 minutes waiting to speak to a representative. They sure don't care to answer the phone to you. Wanted to cancel because of the reviews and no answers. They told me you make the payments They don't take them out and woke up to 77$ missing. It's a joke

Do not use them. It took me only one month to realize after seeking info on debt management and they call to start the process is the only time you will ever be able to speak to a person. They send out proposals that somehow never make it to the creditors. Then the payments they send are so small you have remaining balance plus the late fees which double my payment for the next month through the creditors. I was in contact daily with my creditors and they even tried more than 20 times to contact CESI. Even leaving messages with my reps voicemail asking for confirmation. This company slacks hard on the contract details. Just don’t use em. They may be good if your behind, but helping consolidate payments at a lower rate, that is where you get hurt.TRUST ME, don’t use this company.

Over the Past 4+ years they have helped me get my credit in check and pay off 3/4 of my debt. I just recently got a really good job and I am able to take over the rest of the payments left on my account with out CESI but I will always recommend to anyone that struggled like I did with credit card debt to contact them. They are more then willing to help. It was very hard for me at first to even call them but the best part was for about 5 different card they made it 1 easy payment and they sent the money out to them so i didn't loose track or forget. Plus they did lower my interest rate on at least 3 of them. Though I certainly hope I don't get into trouble again with CC debit but if I do i know i can always reach back out to them for assistance.

Absolutely not worth even trying the service they offer, They dont listen to the customer at all I updated my phone number, address and email with them back in November 2019, only to find out today that they never received any update information, they are extremely slow on making the payments to my creditors which then caused even more problems with them due to late fees and other interest related fees that just keep climbing. Even still today after my phone call to them with my new updated email address and I'm told they sent email out but again nothing at all has been recieved . Cesi has done nothing but cause me even more issue's with creditors and their customer service rep's are not helpful at all in any way & are rude and unprofessional.

Have been in with this company since November. Made payments on time every month since. I had previously had three accounts with them, then, paid two off and decided paid two off and decided to keep the one because the payments worked with my budget. Was just informed today (31st, May) that CESI had been making payments on my behalf to third account with out contacting my bank to make sure account was sufficient. Leaving me with a 94 day past due account and a $200 minimum payment. Very much a lack of communication on CESI's part. 2 stars.
Hi Kim - Thanks for your review. It seems like there was some misunderstanding about the way Debt Management Plan payments work. The way accounts are paid down more quickly is by keeping the amount of your payment consistent throughout the life of the program. What this means is that as one account is paid off, the amount of that payment is applied towards your other accounts, and then as they are paid off the payment to your remaining accounts "snowballs" and pays that account off more quickly. Your payment amount that is drafted from your account does not change as accounts are payed off, but the allocation of how they are distributed towards your enrolled accounts may vary as you pay off accounts. To clarify about how automatic debits for payment work, they are drafted electronically according to your due date, and CESI does not contact your bank prior to debit to check the status of your funds. If there are not sufficient funds in the account for your payment, you are required to contact us 2 business days prior to your payment data to change the date of your payment so we can allow enough time to change the automatic debit. As always, our customer care department is here to help if you have any questions or concerns. I hope that clears up any questions you have!
