I have been banking with Commerce Bank for 27 years and have not had any issues. I have never had money come up missing and if my payday is on a Monday, Commerce always deposits my pay on Saturday. Commerce even determined that my account information was stolen and immediate froze the account to prevent theft from my checking account. My only concern is on their credit card side of the house. They have steadily been increasing the interest rates over the years which makes me consider paying that card off and shredding the card. Otherwise, nice professional staff.
We appreciate your feedback Rob. We will certainly put your suggestions into consideration. Thank you and have a wonderful day.

BEWARE! POTENTIAL CUSTOMER!!!. Do you like keeping your hard earned money??? When considering using this Commerce bank or its affiliates with your hard earned money, you may want to carefully examine the fine print and read all the numerous preexisting negative reviews! Practices like numerous client fees, intentional manipulation of balance transactions that are frequently reordered in sequence so that overdraft fees of $37.00 for each subsequent transaction are applied. As an example, Please see attached "SCREENSHOT" for $185.00 worth of charges based on just two negative transactions. Upon my own personal attempt to visit with the Managers of this Commerce Bank, I was candidly informed that "every banking institution works this way". This is TOTALLY INCORRECT (please see other attached screenshot) as you can clearly see there are over seven other reputable banks that don't practice such harsh deductions or punishments. I have unfortunately made the mistake of using Commerce for my banking needs for the past 15 years. They have never tried or helped me secure a loan, car or other item as their rates and especially fines are ridiculous. I also am aware of the amount of manipulated fees I have been charged during my time with them is likely in the thousands. They however do excell at reaching out and directly removing money from your account, no questions asked! I will NO LONGER be dealing with Commerce Bank and its corporate and greedy mentality. If you want to keep ALL your money, I suggest you change or find a more reputable financial institution instead.

This is with Commerce overall, this specific bank it’s actually pretty nice! My problem with commerce is that I’ll deposit things, they’ll go thru my account, and settle and everything, withdraw that money and then my mobile banking app says that the money was never deposited when i check it later that day or the following day. Then i spend the whole draw stressing whether or not the money was actually deposited.

Had an account with commerce for 10 years and for the past year or so my husband (who is an American) would occasionally deposit his checks in my account without being registered on the account or with Commerce Bank in general, I've deposited his checks repeatedly without him being present, just having his ID. It has never been an issue, more than that we do not have the same last name, so as far as the bank was concerned I was depositing a total stranger's check in my account with his ID. Today I have tried to deposit my visiting from Europe grandmother's check with her passport and US Gov. issued visa (a legal US issued document),I asked first if it would be ok, they took the check her ID, took a few minutes to ensure the signature matches with the one on the ID, then asked for my ID, checked my account and only then refused to deposit the check, saying that I would need to bring my 78 years old grandmother to the bank, so they can speak to her and ensure she is " getting the funds". I asked if there is a reason why they refused me only after they checked my ID and account, the same answer followed : "We just want to make sure she is getting her funds". I called the customer support to ask about their policy on check deposits. Statement was: "We do not deposit third party checks, but your branch might make an exceptions, that is probably what they were trying to do today". So they have a policy that every branch manager can taylor according to their own believes and morals. Interestingly I was only refused after they noticed my foreign name, so I believe they would make an exception for an American (mu husband), but not for me an European! Commerce Bank, here is what the federal law says: Federal laws prohibit discrimination based on a person's national origin, race, color, religion, disability, sex, and familial status. Laws prohibiting national origin discrimination make it illegal to discriminate because of a person's birthplace, ancestry, culture or language. Just because I'm not an American I'm not a criminal. We are all the same- humans. If your policy states you can't deposit a third party check, why do you make exceptions for Americans, but no foreigners? Are you discriminating people because of their nationality? Isn't a company's policy the same for every one?

My son and Sister has an acct here and it's very close to my house which makes it conveniently located. My bank, which is much bigger, doesn't have any branch or ATM's on the West side of Springfield, Mo. Hey US Bank At lease an ATM would be nice!

I came in on a Saturday and the young man working the teller line had on a trump mask. Very unprofessional. It is a business, not a political headquarters.
