Coloramo Federal Credit Union US, Grand Junction

Wont cash checks over 1500$. Every time I call they leave me on hold for 30 min then just hang up. People are rude, place is a joke. If you want a good credit union try credit union of Colorado. This place bout to tank in 4 years max not a good place to set up an account.

I was a long term member for years and upon moving asked them in writing to update to my new address on two separate occasions. Then I started getting calls from a debt collection agency about my defaulted account with "Colorado Federal Credit Union". I thought it was a scam. A couple of days later an auto-deposit couldn't go through and I realized that the debt collector hadn't been a scam. I had to go into the bank in person to find that my account had been closed because I was overdrawn less than $25. My parents and grandparents were and still are members of this credit union and they never tried to contact them. They never emailed or phoned me even though they had that information on file. They had only tried to send letters to my old address (supposedly). They refused to refund the overdraft fee even though I was not prone to overdrafts and had the fraudulent charge reversed within 24 hours. It was "my fault" for not reporting the false charge. The only reason I was in the red was because of their fee (applied when I was in the red for a couple of hours) and they closed the account before my regularly scheduled deposit could go in. So I still had to pay the fee and they wouldn't even reopen the account. Their excuse? They had moved my account to the Orchard Mesa branch without my permission and both of my change of address forms must have been lost. This all could have been solved by one email or phone call from them and a little understanding.

Great people and friendly. It is a credit union so it has many options other financial institutions don't offer or have.

The Coloramo OM branch employees are always professional and very welcoming.
