    I noticed Citizens Bank has a double standard basis I noticed at SEVERAL CITIZEN BANK BRANCHES,(more than once at the Supermarket Brnce on Cottage St.) customers where asked to remove hats and sunglasses, even during very cold or sunny days, HOWEVER. people wearing TOTAL BURQA'S were allowed to wear this garb that totally disguises a persons appearance. I've since resigned from being a customer of Citizens Bank. I've become a member of a smaller local credit union. I advise anybody to do the same thing.

    By FAR I have never seen a bank more deserving of a 1-star review during the span of my natural life on earth than this Citizens right here. What an outstanding new definition of incompetence to add to the books. It’s not just the staff attitudes (honorable mention to the fragile hipster glass-wearing girl who reeks with the fear of handling customer issues), I stopped using my account with them for a while but started using checking again recently as a backup when, long story short, I had just frozen my main debit card’s checking account after it was stolen last week and transferred over essential money to Citizens for both an essential (and large) purchase. On the second day I visited I also needed gas for my car because I was on fumes and had no other options on me at the time, some days we all just get unlucky don’t we. The money had been transferred a solid 2-3 business days before the weekend on a 1 business day transfer from PayPal. I have done this so many times before with no issues- Sometimes it takes even less than one day. After 24 hours I visited “Chobal” for the first time and had a decent conversation. He then told me the funds hadn’t transferred to my backup account. I was surprised but pleasant. I said it probably got delayed and went home disappointed. Then the second day. Was a nightmare. I come back in, this time with receipts showing the money had transferred and been received a few minutes before close (went as fast as I could and thought they’d be open an hour later as they were the day before.) THE GATE WAS OPEN, ALL FOUR ATTENDANTS WERE AT THEIR COUNTERS CLICKING WRITING AND TYPING ON THEIR ACTIVE COMPUTERS, AND THEY TRIED TO TELL ME THEY WERE CLOSED AND COULD NOT SERVE ME. 😂 Stunned by the complete lack of empathy shown, I walked out of stop n shop with the last of their customers, empty- handed, one minute before close.. After a five minute conversation with Miss “Thinks Ray Bans are Still in Style.” Oh yeah, and because my car was on absolute fumes that day and I was going to withdraw gas money, I had to camp out in a Rhode Island Stop and Shop parking lot for hours while the nearest available person to me had to leave an upscale restaurant and waste gas driving to me to fill up my tank so I could make it home. My afternoon plans were shot and I had first considered writing a review then. But I still had the heart to stop myself and think “they couldn’t possibly screw up again and I won’t shred someone for what could amount to minute errors. Your new card probably came in the mail and you won’t have to experience this again.” AND THEN the f****ing THIRD DAY! I show up a couple hours before close at the only citizens location still open, guess which. Definitely got a bad taste in my mouth having to visit that parking lot again, but still I walk in ready to almost joke about the situation. I was just happy to get my money finally- I’m trying to move into my first house after all and it’s much needed! Ironically the line arrangement made me arrive at the counter of the one man who’s been present and failed me for the previous two days- “Chobal.” I greet him and almost sarcastically ask how much money is in checking. He replies with, “last transfer was xx dollars.” “No, that was a long time ago and my recent transfer went through.” “Do you have proof it even sent?” He has the audacity to reply, and I immediately present him with my receipts. He essentially ignores them altogether and tells me my cash doesn’t exist. “Chobal,” quit your job. Please just quit. If I failed someone as hard as you failed me for three consecutive days I would switch professions immediately. You made someone waste triple the gas, triple the time, & spend all of that time empty handed- one of those days being forced to consider spangeing in your parking lot & that’s not great for business at all is it. What bothers me even more is Citizen’s snarky attitude as a whole. Bragging about your hours & then preventing customers from coming in while you’re technically open? No thanks. Don’t ever visit this branch.

    I like this bank tellers are always nice and have great customer service I've been using this bank in this supermarket for 7 years never had an issue

    I go here for the convenience. Sometimes there is a long line but I'm shopping for groceries anyways so it saves me a trip to a separate bank.
