Repeatedly lost my payments. Like accounts receivable has ONE job. Yet everytime I mail in a money order instead of paying for the privilege of making online payments that cost another 15 dollars to make, they lose the payment and require me to prove it with a receipt which since I cannot trust this company is a must do. They mail out the remittance coupon books late as possible so more often than not I'm mailing in payments without it, of course they apply the whole payment to interest so I have to write a letter everytime as well. Do your job!

DO NOT GO HERE! We started the home buying process through CIS. We were told we could do our land loan, loan for dirt work, and home loan all in one. So, with this sounding easier than 3 separate loans, we decided to use CIS. After 5 months of an email on Friday saying they needed a certain document and immediate response from us, then not hearing back except through email that something else was needed that next Friday, rarely being able to get in touch with anyone by phone, we were told they could not do the land on the loan. So, we went to First National Bank for a personal loan. Within a week we had the loan and within the next fees weeks the land was our’s. Easiest process ever! Would have started there if we would have known we were going to have to wait 5 months! Then around Christmas, CIS laid off many workers. We could not get anyone to contact us back about anything, and had no clue as to who was actually now handling our loan! After three more months of waiting around for nothing to happen, not even dirt work, we left and went somewhere else. Within a month we had dirt work done and loan for the house finished! What could have taken us 2 months in paperwork with two other banks, took over 8 months with CIS to get NOTHING done! Waste of time!

Aside from the final signing of documents, majority of the process was done electronically because of Covid-19. Despite of that the whole process went smoothly. I worked with Debbie and she was great! I loved talking with her about family and other things. The whole team was great! Thank you!!!

Don't trust this company This company has some many violation on my credit report It's crazy They have high balance on my report They have the wrong open date Inaccurate payment history Saying I was late on days I wasn't . I sent them a copy of my bank statement to prove it. I report them to the Cfbp for the violations that hurt my credit report . They will respond back they are not the ones to handle my credit. They are they ones listed on my credit report just be careful don't trust this. Company check your credit report I will like you guys to remove the late payments off my account are delete this account off my report since you guys said you are not the one reporting then who is. Because it said cif financial They going

Awesome experience! Alicia Cochran was our Loan Officer and she was amazing! They even sent someone to my house after hours to close on our loan because that was better for us due to work hours.

If you check my history I tend to leave good reviews but I do feel important to speak about what a horrible experience it has been with this company. I own more than one piece of real estate and have been with other companies. I regret the day I switched to their scheme of lower mortgages. They reported me late to credit bureaus illegally more than once, and it took me over a year to get it corrected but not with any cooperation from CIS. I had to hire an attorney and fight with the credit reporting agencies, who finally were the ones who turned over the late payments reported. Their payment portal is a nightmare (and I’m in Computer science AND have 10+ years as a web developer so it’s not like I can’t use a website), and their billing statements have to be the most convoluted garbage I’ve ever had to deal with. Sure the people themselves are professional and nice, but as a whole when I tried to file their inaccurate reporting to the rail road Commission and other regulatory agencies, they actually hide their identity under another business name so they’re virtually trying to mask themselves and make it very difficult to report them. I genuinely regret the day I trusted them. I also experienced hikes in the mortgages without reason then was told it had to do with insurance, which may be true, but when I asked for the readjustment they took MONTHS before applying it, and also didn’t apply it but to one of my properties. The reason I haven’t switched out from with this company was becauSe since they marred my credit, I was not able to get anyone to want to take my loan. To add to other people with unjustified fees, I also have the same problems with them and I also have complained for years that they won’t take my payments (not even by direct transfer !!) then have marked me late because “They don’t check their mailbox ,” even though I mailed in advance and then asked if I could pay by phone or card and they said no. I could go on about how awful they treat their customers and how unlawful their practices are once they have you as a client, but it’s an endless list. I’m just waiting for a class action law suit against the company because there is NO WAY they can keep getting away with stuff like that forever . Save yourself , don’t go to them. Really the last straw for me was this month as I made my payment they had not communicated to me that they had changed from west coast time to east coast time so my transactions were marked for the next day, which hadn’t happened before. I’m so disappointed in them, it’s unreal.
