Freeze funds with no reason, called many times to fix, tried to pay the credit card from same bank account, IMPOSSIBLE.... trash can bank. I moved from other bank expecting better service....big mistake, I regret it!

I wish zero star was available! Waiting 45 min and still no rep available. Only one person covers this branch. Great job C One...time to switch bank. Must mentioned that Michael was of great help, once we got served.

Agree w other comments that this branch needs more representatives. This was my first visit. However, my wife and I truly appreciated the service from Ashley, who was filling in from another branch. Although there was about a 40 minute wait, she took her time and was very courteous in solving our problem that could not have been handled w online servicing. Worth the wait. Thank you !!

    Response from the owner

Hey Gene - Happy to hear your visit was truly on an upward trajectory! While the waiting game's never fun, it sounds like Ashley won you over :) Appreciate your feedback - we'll slide this on over to our leadership. ^AJS

Worst experience ever!!! First time going to this location through the drive thru and I will never go back if I can avoid it. First of all it took more than 15 minutes to make a simple deposit into my personal account! They had one guy running back and forth between the windows and lobby😡 Then they asked for a social security and ID just to deposit into my own account that I have had for 10 years oh and it was not even a large deposit. Capitol One is really dropping the ball on their customer service. Time to find a new more customer friendly bank!

I have been a customer of this bank for years. Everyone is friendly but no one can help you. I called the main number and was told that the Branch handles my account and I should speak with the branch. I call the Branch and was told that the Branch does not handle this matter. No one at the Bank knows who handles my problem. My problem is not an unusual one. You get the run around at the Bank. I am seriously considering moving my account. I know my account doesn't mean a cup of coffee to the bank, but to me, its extremely important. What happened to good customer service where at least someone knew who to talk to about the problem? I knew actually getting my problem solved was unlikely, but at least I wanted to talk to someone who could assist me. When the Branch transferred me to the "small business section,'" the transfer was to a section where the account was set up online. My account was with Coastal Bank, which eventually became Capital One. I even told the Branch this fact. Regardless, the branch sent me to the wrong department, which eventually, after about 60 minutes on the phone, I found someone that at least could speak to me about my problem. EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE!!

Service has gone down at all Capital One branches as I think they know they will be all replaced by simple ATM machines. I got some cash out and it spit out $20s, that’s ok, but I wanted 100s as it was a lot of bills. I pulled up to the teller and told her that I just got cash out and would prefer 100s I have her the money along with my business debit card to show I’m a business owner and member of the bank. I informed her that I accidentally left an extra 20 from my withdrawal as the amount I needed wasn’t an even hundred. She said she needed my ID... to change out bills. The machine didn’t need my ID, but she scanned it and told me there was an extra $20, “what would I like to do with it?” Uh that’s your tip for a job well done just put it in with the other money! Can’t wait until it’s all ATMs

I went in to make make a deposit , get some cash and open a CD. The young lady at the counter did my deposit and I got my cash. Great job. Now I was asked to sign in and wait for a customer rep. There was one gentleman with a client so I amused I would be next. Wrong. I continued to wait 15 minutes until he was done . Then he got up and went behind the tellers cage. He started to wait on 7 other customers that came in after me. Well then I got back in line again assuming if I was next in both lines someone would surely call me next.! Wrong again I was asked to sit back down. With no music, TV , coffee or someone to tell me how much longer it may take for me to give them my $10,000 I walked out. This was sure not like the Cafe I see on tv in their adds.

I have never in any industry been exposed to the embarrassing, horrific treatment that I experienced at this bank. I went there to cash a check and the teller said she had to call the account holder. I do not have deposit accounts with Capital One, but I do have two credit cards. I cash this same check, for the same amount at their branch in Pearland because that's where I work. I visited this bank on that day because I didn't go to work and live in the neighborhood. Well, I asked the teller if that policy was in writing because in all of the years that I'd been cashing that check, no Capital One had ever said that to me. So, after several minutes she showed me the policy on her computer and this is what it read: When a customer who is not an account holder wants to cash a check over $3,000, two valid forms of ID are required and then the owner of the check must be contacted. For amounts under $3,000, the bank employee must receive the valid forms of ID and if they find the customer to be suspicious, MAY contact the account holder. The word "may" clearly makes taking the extra security step optional...in the case of suspiciousness as stated, which is determined at discretion. My check was significantly less than $3,000, so, I asked the teller, who said she was the branch manager, what made me suspicious. She refused to answer. I then asked her for her name and she refused to give it, and then told me that I would have to leave. She then proceeded to come around the counter and escorted me out. I continued to ask her for her name and she refused to provide the information. As we approached the door I told her that she was wrong for what she did and she yelled that she never refused me service. Odd I thought, but then I realized she was trying to protect herself from an accusation of racism. Interesting because I never once said she was being racist. I only asked what was it about me that made me suspicious since the policy that governs her interaction with customers clearly stated that for the amount of the check, calling the account holder was up to her discretion in the case of suspiciousness. I was utterly embarrassed and sat in the parking lot for a good 5 minutes just to get myself together. While I was sitting there, some HPD officers pulled up. Neither of them said anything to me, but I have since wondered if she called them and felt further humiliation. I had never raised my voice, had never argued. I merely asked what I thought was a valid question. My address is on my license and I live within walking distance of the bank. My Capital One credit cards bear the same address and I had presented both to her. Overwhelming feelings of frustration and embarrassment. Even more so after having to explain to my teenage son, whom I had left in the car, why I was so visibly shaken when I got into the car. I will not stop visiting Capital One because the folks at the Pearland branch have always been so sweet. I have even opened a Capital One deposit account (1) to hopefully prevent this from happening to me again should I have to use a different branch, and (2) because having done so makes me feel like I have some kind of victory in all of this. I am the Managing Director of youth ministries and children's services for a church in Ft. Bend County. I develop and implement programs for families of the church and in the community. I am an educator and a spiritual leader. When that person told me to leave the branch, and then proceeded to make a big show of it, after the initial shock my first thought was Oh my God, this is not something I would want my kiddos or my families to see. Needless to say I will not return to that branch.

First time in this one and was a nice and great experience. Very friendly staff. Opened and account and was fast and she clarified all my doubts and questions. Clean and nice place inside. I appreciated all the attention they had with me.
