Horrible customer service, you waste hours going around in circles trying to get a hold of anybody, no overnight customer service so if something happens and you need to reach someone during over night hours, you are stuck waiting till after 8am. Wish i had never joined this credit union after the experience i've had. The 1.98% apy they offer on checking accounts doesn't make up for the horrible customer service, lack of hours and flat out rude personal i've spoke with. Another complaint would be ZERO protection on your account, they will look for any reason to not offer any and tell you flat out your screwed, eat the loss and move on, even if federal law is on your side. STAY CLEAR of this bank!

    Response from the owner

Hi Brandon, we apologize for your frustration and disappointment. Our credit union has various protections in place for our members, including all deposit accounts being federally insured by the NCUA.

The branch manager of this location clearly doesn't know how to "Do the right thing". I attempted to open an account for a non profit support group which helps people struggling with mental illness. The person setting up the account seemed to be more concerned with how my friend and I looked than helping us. After converging with the manager. We were informed we could not open an account. Being a member for over fifteen years. I knew that wasn't right. I have never been treated like that at any other branch. So we went to the Wisconsin ave branch and was treated with respect and dignity. Promptly set up the account with no issue. Thy didn't understand why we couldn't get it set up at the college ave location. At the end of the meeting the account manager told us how glad she was for the help we offer those who suffer.

    Response from the owner

Good morning Joe. We are sorry you had this experience at one of our branches, as we do pride ourselves as people who care about doing the right thing with each member. We are following up with both locations and will certainly get to the bottom of this. Thank you for your honest review and I hope we will meet your expectations in the future.

This location is unbelievable... The attendants are clearly incapable of making loan payments. The last two times I made full (AND MORE THAN) payments I get notices in the mail that I'm missing payments??? How am I paying 200$ EXACT, no more and no less, a month on a monthly payment loan of 154$ and missing my payments???????? EVERYTIME I ask the attendants "am I fully paid for the month then?" and each time they said yes, my next payment is due next month. I then get a notice that I have not made my full payment, you guys need 1 effing cent???!! Then I'm charged additionally on my loan?!? Are you guys serious? You can even check ever since I had the loan I always paid 200 each month.

    Response from the owner

Alex, I'm sorry. That does sound like a frustrating situation. Thank you for taking the time to talk with a member of our team here at Capital about the issue and for your understanding. Mistakes happen, and we believe in learning from them and making adjustments to prevent the same situation from happening to you or another member in the future.
