I cannot recommend the folks at Best Pawn enough. The owner Mark, and all of his staff are some of the friendliest and most honest people out there. When you walk in, it definitely doesn't feel like you are walking into a pawn shop. They help when they can and try to give a fair price to their customers. It's also always interesting to see what new stuff comes in from time to time. They will continue to have my business.

Best experience I've ever had with a pawn shop. Reasonable prices and large selection of tools make it my first choice from now on when I'm looking for things. As of 6 months ago, I had never been in a pawn shop and was nervous because they don't have the best reputation as an industry. I have been back again and again! These guys are so helpful. They work with me every single time, respectfully and honestly. I am a huge fan of this shop. Every one of the guys working there has helped me one day or another and I have had 100% positive experiences.

My wife and I relocated to NW Austin Bout 15 months ago and one of our first places to shop was the easy to find location of Best Pawn on 183 and Lakecreek parkway. We have sold our property in Midland county and needed to update some tools,etc for the new place. I was pleased to find the excellent condition of several items we needed at this store. Mark and his team are always friendly and easy to talk to! We bought a extend ladder, a home 4 Ft Safe, several jewelry items, power tools, and guns from this location over the past year or so. We do not like paying retail, but we also want quality items, and no doubt they have better quality and more up to date items than most!

I have been dealing with Mark and his staff for about fifteen years and as long as I am in Austin, he will get my business. He has always been kind to my wife and myself. He has been patient with us when things were tight and he never once tried to maximize his return when he easily could have. Multiple times he has " given us a break " when it comes time to redeem or extend a loan. Good guy. Give him your business and if you are a reasonable adult you will become a loyal client like me. Very rude staff not willing to negotiate prices. I walked in with a pocket full of $100 bills, but left empty handed. Wanted to buy an over and under shot gun. They had a used one missing three choke tubes, their asking price was $550 firm. Drove down the road to another shop and found the same gun for $349. I also visited Academy sports and found it priced at $429 new in box with all the parts that were missing from the pawn shop guns. Stay far away from these guys unless your are willing to pay over retail. On a side note I had been cleaning out my garage and found quite a few items new in boxes that I do not need or want, but they weren't interested in buying and things. I was told they would rather buy something used and not new. So these guys will not buy a new in box 53" LED light bar but wouldn't have a problem buying a stolen one with a cut off short power cord over a new one

I tried to sell a ring, but they were not buying diamonds. The man behind the counter took time to size it, give me an idea of its worth, and how best to sell it. He even recommended a few jewelers where he believes I could get the best price for it.

There are credible pawnshops and there are sketchy pawnshops… Seldom do I make recommendations and leave reviews; however, these guys will shoot you straight and compensate you for your items in a manner that makes you leave feeling like a fair deal was made. Take these words to heart if you need to visit a pawn shop, THIS is the place.

They won't even give me a price for a pair of Bose headphones, I told the guy what I was willing to sell for and he told me I was way off and when I asked how much he would give me for them he said he couldn't give me a price and I was willing to negotiate but dude just kept saying he couldn't give me a price. Never going there again.

I have literally been in the store over 100 times, never had a bad experience, I have always been treated with respect whether I buy something or not.
