Having bought and sold many properties over the years I have always used the local real estate agencies. I decided to try the newest agency in Lake Placid - Adirondack Premier Properties. My experience with ADKPP was strange....Margie Philo, (the broker/owner) was very condescending. She seemed to take a real pleasure in bad mouthing all the other real estate companies. Her employees, who hung on her every word, seemed very scared of her and appeared to be afraid to speak up. I found this disturbing. I went to another office - I am very happy with my choice.

Last year I moved to Lake Placid to open an office for my company. I didn't know a soul in the area, so I was worried that finding a decent apartment to rent would be difficult. I made a few calls and everyone told me that Tina Leonard was "definitely the person to talk to". I made one call to Tina, gave her some info on what I was looking for, and within the day she had multiple options for me. About a week or so later I visited Lake Placid and met with Tina to look at 4 different properties... in January... in a blizzard. She bundled up and went with me to each location and made sure all my questions were answered. Long story short, I found a great apartment (at a great price) with hardly any effort on my end! Tina was very professional and helpful. I'm looking to buy soon, and will definitely be working with Tina to do so.
