We have had a wonderful experience working with Beneficial. Cynthia and Stacey have been so incredible as we grow and their help was invaluable during the pandemic, helping us navigate really challenging waters. We moved from a large transnational bank where I felt like we were just a number to a truly west coast bank that knows who we are, are available every time we need them and are invested in our success. I can't thank them enough.

I started a loan with them in the end of January after refinancing my auto loan. Here it March and they have refused to set my mobile, answer the phone or call me back at the scheduled time that a live person scheduled. The is the WORST loan company I’ve ever worked with. I can’t even make payments over the phone, and watch they try and charge me for a late payment too! Not to mention they requested my debit card information for reoccurring payments to be sent through the mail. I did that in the beginning of February. It hasn’t been sent up yet and now I’m getting random charges so I’ll have to change ALL MY direct payments and cancel that card. If I would have the customer service would be this bad, I would have stayed with the higher payments. Not worth it AT ALL!

I've worked with Beneficial over the past five years in my work at a local non-profit organization, and have appreciated their support immensely throughout the years. All staff I've worked with at the bank have been friendly, straightforward, and I honestly feel like they have our organization's best interests in mind. Would recommend them 100%.

Beneficial State Bank's website never works properly. I had to use a separate link than usual to login into my account online, and then that stopped working as well. The pin on my debit card has been repeatedly changed (twice within a few months) for no apparent reason. The customer service is almost impossible to reach, and they never call back after I leave a voicemail. I've never been a part of such an inaccessible bank before. They have the absolute worst online banking services (they're non-existent when you can't access them).

They’ve done nothing to help me through the pandemic. Charged me an extra 100 dollars per bill when payed a couple days past the day, even though it was hard to get income to pay it in the first place. Not using the corona as excuse, but some of us did lose jobs and it doesn’t help to be charged extra when you had a hard time making the original payment. Also, can never make a payment online or on mobile app. The account NEVER showed up, even after calling multiple times and them saying it will be updated.

The Seattle BSB team have been extremely helpful in our early days as a nonprofit startup. They continue to show strong values alignment, prioritize our needs, and exhibit a shared commitment to the people we serve.
