    this branch is fine, people that work there are generally great. this review is simply to let everyone reading this know that becu does not have after-hours support. so when they block your checking account AFTER travelling two states over and completely fail to let you know, your weekend is hosed. one should not be on the hook for a travel alert just for San Diego. big fail BECU, big fail.

    Shoreline branch BECU. Wanted to transfer an IRA (had all the paperwork about the IRA) from another bank to BECU where I have several accounts. Representative didn't know how to do it. He called someone who was trying to guide him through the procedure. After half an hour of asking the same questions over and over he asked something about "other assets". I repeated for the 5th time what I wanted to do. When he said "that's not what you said", I left. Tried to call BECU to see if I could do this over the phone or on line. Called 3 times, wait was longer than 10 minutes and after holding for ~ 5 minutes was disconnected on each call. I like BECU as long as I don't have to speak to someone!

    Why bother to go this place. BECU never existed if Boeing checks going thru. My 32 years paycheck went thru. Now I am changing to local bank. So fed up with customer service. I don't think deserve 1 star. I came home and called becu and endup call back message. Took 2 hours got call but I wasn't available. Social security office wasn't this bad as becu. Back in 90 and early 2000s, most of time becu answered call. Anyone has patient? Can stay in becu member. Now I need to figure out my direct deposit to new bank. I am old guy and I can't cope with becu.

    Financed a car through BECU and between their online services being down on a weekly basis, my license plates being shipped to the bank rather than my home (and then shipped to the wrong branch), the wrong price being financed (requiring me to redo the entire finance process) - I’ve had to go into a branch and wait around for additional hours to get things fixed. Finally get a call my plates are ready to be picked up after all this headache and I’m told they can’t just give them to me, I have to wait a half hour to forty five minutes behind a line of people who are there for banking services. I hate BECU.

    We just sold our car and the person used BECU. BECU has a policy where the car must be registered in order to sell. I have bought and sold over 50 cars and never heard of this, cars only need titles to be sold. Furthermore our loan processor indicated the person who buys the car keeps our plates which is not true in WA. So now we are dealing with a red light cam ticket and several toll charges. I will never sell another car to a member here, steer clear if you can.

    Join a different credit union. Though they have done many things to let me down over the years this review is for a recent auto loan. Found a car I wanted and came in for a loan on a Friday afternoon. I was told I was approved for the amount I needed but the process took so long it was closing time before the paperwork was available to sign. All I needed to do was come in the next day to sign. Saturday I come in and the approval amount has been reduced. If I want the loan I will need to find cash myself. I know we live in a post truth age but I’m sick of BECU and their lies. To add insult to injury though my loan is smaller my monthly payment remained the same. They have already gotten into legal trouble for stealing from their members and I see more trouble for them in the future. Remember WAMU?

    I had a fantastic experience at this branch with Carrie. She was incredibly understanding during a lot of confusion over getting a cashier check made out with the correct information. I was given conflicting info on what was needed and she took the time to not only void out incorrect checks but to look up the correct information and issue me another check. AND after I left, the branch called me later that day letting me know that a patch had fallen off my jacket. Not only did they remember me, but they also offered to mail me the patch! Great customer service, kind staff and professional help.

    They can't deposit from a debit card, any other bank could handle that easily.

    Wow! Where do i begin .. I tried setting up auto pay for my car loan. On the phone they said go to a local branch ... Once at the branch, they told me to use my phone. . . Expect to wait for an hour or more. . i waited 1hr 20 minutes.. Expect them to call people out of order... AND expect them to lie and say they called you when everyone else in line can confirm they never did. Boooo!!! Literally they just didnt wanna do their job... i even called becu after and the operator said there was absolutely no reason they couldn't setup auto pay in the branch.

    Horrible customer service. I opened a new checking account and transferred thousands of dollars from another BECU account. I was told that the transfer was immediate and all of my checks from the old account would be covered. $55 in late fees later, due to there actually being a 24-hour delay in their "immediate" transfer, they said there was nothing they could do about the money they cost me. I told them if that was the case I would close my accounts and bank elsewhere. The manager made no attempt to rectify the problem, and didn't care whether or not I pulled all of my money out and left, which I did. DO NOT BANK HERE!
