Bayou Federal Credit Union Guilbeau Rd, Lafayette

I've been into the Guilbeau location 4 times to deposit checks through the federal co-op program. Despite valid photo ID with my full name on it, three of those times they have turned me away for minor details (i.e., checks made out to my middle+last name, signing my middle name instead of first name, etc.) The last time they accused me of parking too close to another vehicle in the parking lot, which was actually parked too close to mine. My significant other has had similar experiences, and it is clear they have no interest in serving their customers.

They are the rudest people I’ve ever dealt with. I don’t even have a account there I went to pay my husbands truck note that he has his loan with them, first off I didn’t know they have the damn door locked so when I drove around the window the teller was rude. She asked if that was me that pulled on the door and I apologized and said “ yes I’m sorry I’ve never been here before I’m just trying to pay my husband truck note”, she then proceeded to be the rudest person alive saying” well do even have a account here” shaking her head and getting rude. Mind you ,I’ve been dealing with the public for 10 years (in emergency services) I know good and well if I would ever talk to someone like that I know they would have reported me. She basically told me I was stupid, because I was making sure the payment was the right amount she in turn look at me and asked well I mean he didn’t tell you how much it was for, and huffed and walked away took 10 mins to come back. Then had the nerve to tell me next time I need to make sure I know what I’m doing. I’m not exactly sure who trained these people but I’m a human and just like her we all make mistakes. It’s the first time I’ve ever even been to a damn credit union and that was my last time. They need extra training on CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HOW TO BE NICE TO PEOPLE!!!! I’m pretty sure if I would have treated you that you would have been pretty pissed!

My wife and I have been a part of Bayou Federal for many years. We feel like family. Thank you for your service to our community.

I have been a customer with BFCU for I believe 3 years. And I love them.
