Not enough tellers, staff has dull draft personalities as do the branch manager. Staff will help with any questions or concerns, but when compared to other branches, like Fruitvale, San Leandro, Hayward, Walnut Creek and so on. El Cerritos BOW is like walking into a deep freezer, the atmosphere is always chilli 🌶 never warm. I often drive to another city to get service because of the dry air and I'm a people person so I need to feel comfortable with approaching the tellers and manager. Sometimes I feel intimidated and won't ask questions, I will go to another branch which can be 10 miles or more away.

The staff was friendly and helpful . Masks are no longer required for those who are fully vaccinated but everyone working was wearing a mask.

Been banking with this bank for about 5 years. I was in a jam today with my work check. Went there to see if they can help. First they wanted me to do all the foot work and call another branch myself. Then they wanted me to tell the other branch to call them. Even the other ranch was wondering why I was calling instead of them . Bottom line was they new I was mad and they blew me off like I wanted to use the bathroom. Mind you I've been banking with them for at least 5 years if I was an old lady that had $200,000 in there I would have been treated way better the manager was lazy and rude and it was some teller back there that didn't even look like he knew how to dress plus he was really rude. don't bank here the lines are really long in the staff is always rude if you're going to bank with Bank of the West go to Shattuck in Berkeley there's never a wait. Beautiful People ,very kind and helpful. Get it together El Cerrito Bank of the West PS the Have Nots matter to.

Went to the bank on Saturday to open up a business account. I asked the Mortgage Lender and he said to wait in line. I waited in line and the teller said that no one was there to help. Frustrated that we waited in line for nothing and that the lender should have told us about this sooner. Also had another not good experience at another branch where they are understaffed.

The older bank manager who sits behind the teller's often has a very unwelcoming disposition towards customers..Most recently I was told by the same women I would be required to bring my ID and SS card to cash any Bank of the West check the next time I came which turned out to be a lie. This tactic used in gaining new customer's is tasteless and insulting.

This is pretty late but anytime I go here there’s incredible service! I’m horrible with names but there are two women there that always put in the most and I’m thankful for them. I went in today and someone started helping me but it was going to take longer since I had to look up information instead one of the ladies remembered me and got the information I needed quickly and without asking. Really good quality service and they are kind while doing it.

Huuuuuge lines and the guy behind counter wearing a T-Shirt??? Just wow. Please, do something about this. Lady behind me almost passed out waiting...

The worst service there is, the bank is the worst, the ones that tend to tend all the time. Today I have to wait until 10:30 am. It's ridiculous.
