Bank of the West Fresno St, Fresno

Don't waste your time with this bank save your self from headaches .will not bank with this bank anymore when I open my account they explained the terms of the account and I signed. The teller told me if my account dint have enough funds it would just be decline, and I was okay with that I didn't want to pay overdraft fees .so I signed then I get hit with a $245 overdraft fee so I call and visited the branch very poor customer service I explain I never agreed for the bank to pay for any purchases they said I did and I signed for it not my fault I have to be penalized for some tellers mistake I never agreed but she said I did now I explain I signed yes but because teller explain something different not my fault she chose the wrong option their system no way in reasoning with them bank manager assistant was very unprofessional almost seem happy that I had to pay very disappointed with quality of service will close my account and stay away from this Bank!!! SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE OPENING AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM.....

Worst bank ever been seen no service sitting there for 2 hours and don't recommended

They were mad because I had enough of their bs and closed my account so instead of handing me my money over, which was my first request when I walked in , then I wanted to close the acct., they decided to just close my account and wait for a Check to be delivered. So they decided to make it difficult for me to get my own money right away. NEVER WOULD I OPEN AN ACCOUNT HERE NOR let ANYONE ELSE DO SO.

The only location that will not flat out cash my check outright even with an account. I wanted to partially deposit and cash it. It is not the tellers fault but hey I did swear and I am sorry. The shaw and west location does help me with this. I got bills, so I deposit all my money cus of reasons. (Disclaimer) check is from another bank, even so other locations accommodate me.

Teller refused to try to run my company issued check . After calling my company and verifying all was good and bank needed actually run it first , in order for funds to be transferred, I approached the teller again . She refused to try to run it and said i needed to go to the Shaw and west branch to figure it out and override my check . She also said there was no one available to try to over run "the process". After insisting they " try to run it " they finally did and lone and behold it went through . What frustrates me the most is ; this location always give me issues . There needs to be some accountability held . The staff needs further training . Brushing botw customers off to another branch , is very unacceptable.

THIS PLACE IS THE WORST BANK FOR FAMILY'S I AM IN THE HOSPITAL AT 28 WEEKS PREGNANT WITH PREECLAMPSIA AND HAVE TO STAY HERE FOR 6 MORE WEEKS TILL I CAN HAVE MY SON I LOST MY CARD BEFORE I GOT HERE ALL MY MONEY FOR MY RENT PG&E ETC. IS IN MY ACCOUNT AND I REPORTED IT LOST AND THEY REFUSE TO SEND ME A NEW CARD BECAUSE I'M IN THE HOSPITAL I AM WILLING TO WORK WITH THEM THROUGH SKYPE ECT. SO I CAN GET A NEW CARD AND PAY MY BILLS AND THEY STILL REFUSE SO NOW WHILE I FIGHT FOR MINE AND MY BABY LIFE WE WON'T HAVE A HOME TO GO TO BECAUSE THE BRANCH WON'T BE REASONABLE. IF YOU HAVE KIDS OR PLAN TO START A FAMILY DON'T BANK WITH BANK OF THE WEST THEY DON'T HAVE YOUR BEST INTETEST!!!

The staff is helpful and yes, there's an outside ATM machine on the Van Ness Street side. YAY!

Take your business somewhere else this bank and its people are by far incompetent to their profession save a heart ache they give you a bunch a BS, i I know all banks do but this one goes to the extreme.

5 months almost $600 in fees. No redeemable qualities in service.

The ATM gives currency in five $ increments.
